A Wonderland for Bookworms!
As a self-proclaimed bookworm, stepping into Barnes & Noble is like entering a literary Narnia minus the talking animals (although I wouldn't mind discussing literature with a wise old owl).
The first thing you notice is the delightful aroma of freshly brewed coffee from their café. It's like they know book lovers need a caffeine boost to keep turning those pages!
The staff here are like bookish superheroes, always ready to guide you through the maze of genres and recommend your next favorite read. I once asked for a mystery novel and ended up discovering a series so thrilling, I had to check my closet for hidden passages!
The seating areas are a haven for readers who prefer to devour books on the spot. I may have lost track of time once or twice while engrossed in a gripping story, but who's counting when you're lost in a good book?
The variety of books is mind-boggling—in a good way, of course! From classic literature to the latest bestsellers, they've got it all. My only dilemma is deciding which books to take home. Can they invent a teleportation device already so I can avoid the tough choices?
In conclusion, Barnes & Noble is not just a bookstore; it's a sanctuary for book enthusiasts, a place where imagination thrives, and where the only limit is how many books you can carry out in one trip...
Read moreI decided that rather than order a particular book on Amazon, I would buy local. My wife, my 4 year old granddaughter, and I struck out for this local B&N to find a book and possibly sip a coffee. With the book and coffee in hand we sat in the coffee shop to enjoy one simple pleasure. My wife bought a candle and set it on the table because she didn’t think it safe in the bag of books. We sat and sipped enjoying our time. One small important phone call later, we are set to quickly grab our things, our sleepy granddaughter and head out. It was closing time anyway, and we needed to address the situation of the phone call. Upon arriving at home my wife realized we forgot to grab the candle. She called the store and the person on the other end told her she didn’t have time to check the table. She told my wife to check the store in the morning. I drove over at opening time and no one had seen it. No one in the coffee shop, not behind the store register, nor customer service. Makes me feel like I should have gone with my first idea. I would have saved $8 on the book, and if had bought a candle and didn’t receive it, Amazon would have replaced or...
Read moreIt's a really nice book store with lots of selection. I would give it more stars, but I don't like how some of the sections are subdivided and then organized by author last name. It's just that sometimes I don't know which subcategory the book that I want is in, so I have to check every subcategory for the author's name, and that's kind of annoying. Now, if there was a customer use computer where I could check on the book that I want and where I could find it, and there were several of them around the store so that one customer didn't haul the computer the whole time, that would be a little handier. Sometimes it's hard to get help from a worker. I also think they need to get a backup cashier up sooner. It's frustrating waiting while the cashier is giving their Spiel on the book club, and the customer doesn't want to hear it anyway. It takes a long time to explain the book club. The workers are doing their job, and I bet they're required to talk about the book club with every single customer, but it's done but it makes the line...
