UPDATE: so I took on the owner’s offer and decided to give them a second chance for a rib dinner.
I walked in and asked if the owners are in but they weren’t available, too bad because I would like to meet them.
I asked the cashier for a rib dinner and explained why I was there. She did tell me that sometimes they save the cooked unsold ribs overnight and they proceed to sell them the next day. And she also agreed that shouldn’t be done and that altered the quality of the rib. Ok great until now we are on the same page.
I purchased 4 drinks and left a nice tip. Within 5 minutes the ribs were ready and I took it home. I have a family of 4 and all my previous orders I spent at least 60-80 worth.
To my disappointment there were only 3 ribs (bones) in the bag!? And nothing else other than the drinks that I bought. Is this what you guys call rib dinner? Wow I was so upset that I gave those 3 little bones to my dogs. This is insulting and a waste of my time.
Needless to say I would never comeback here and I won’t recommend this place to anyone!
Original review: Been going to Rudy’s for years and decided to give these guys a try. The first time the ribs were good, moist and fall off the bone along with utensils and napkins.
2nd time it was horrible, ribs were dry. I didn’t get napkins or utensils.
Called to give feedback to the manager and the kid that answered told me that they don’t have a manager on Monday lol really!? What a joke.
I insisted that I wanted to talk to someone and he left me on hold for 10 minutes before I gave up and hung up...
Needless to say that inconsistency is the restaurant’s worst enemy. Plus you guys should hire another manager, one that can actually...
Read morea few days before superbowl me and the wife wanted bbq for dinner our go to would be Rudy's on chandler but they where extremely busy that night so we said let's try can't stop smoking right across the street... when we walked in place was somewhat dead a few customers , so said okay , proceeded to place and order wife got the brisket sandwich, and I got the peets plate , sandwich was like 10 bucks small as hell , and the peets was like 19 and changed .and that was supposed to have brisket, ribs, sausage, and pulled pork with its sides sounds good right, after paying 30 plus dollars we get home driving from chandler all the way to Maricopa to find out the ribs where not there, called back that night and spoke with a Ben, he apologized and said he talked with one of the other leaders and said they could refund me at least half of the peets meal since I live in Maricopa and he didn't want me to drive all the way back for just 2 ribs...so I said cool ...waited a few days and nothing, I call back today and come to find out I won't be getting a fefund they will be replacing my meal, fine ...the next time I ordered form this place might be never I definitely recommend opening the meals first before leave the place just to make sure you have everything, I see why they package they food this way...and another the portions where extremely small for the price...I will definitely go collect my meal just so I can feel some satisfaction from this place but I won't be going back and I don't recommend this place to anyone out there that reads this go to Rudy's 110% better staff...
Read moreThe service was great! Our first time there. Theire ribs looked a little thin so we did not order them. Plate 1 was chopped beef/brisket/coleslaw/ potatoe salad and a jalapeno muffin. Plate 2 was pulled pork/brisket/mac & cheese/ slaw and a jalapeno muffin. Brisket: Tender, Very soft, great fat ratio.Literally melts in your mouth. Not a thick smoke ring though. Come on guys, I'm looking for the red band. Chopped Beef: Very smokey! Tasted a little too burnt to the point where the beef was hard to chew. Pulled pork: Delicious! Perfect balance of smokiness and bbq sauce. Great stringy pull of meat. Potatoes salad: Not what I'm used to but very unique. I liked it, definitely not bad at all. Just different. Coleslaw: WOWZA! This was so good! Not every one can pull off a slaw, but these people sure can. Not to sweet, not to much vinegar, just perfectly balanced. Jalapeno corn bread: Soft, crumbly and not spicy at all. Very delicious. And last.... . . . The Mac, look, I'm not trying to hate, but TRY HARDER. This is a staple in the south. Something people hold competitions for. Please , if you choose to create this delectable pasta, take time to perfect your craft. It needs work. Maybe try a rue, idc, just fix it.
Over all. CANT STOP SMOKIN' BBQ was good. I would definitely return if I was in the area, but not something I would go out of the way for. On a scale of 1-10 I would give this an 8. Stop in and try the brisket and slaw. With the awesome wooden design and country tunes you will transcended in to the rustic heaven of...
