My boyfriend woke up wanting Mexican food for breakfast and decided on this place because my daughter’s name is Sol. What a great choice, the ambiance!! The staff was great, they have beautiful art work all over the place, it’s such a treat just to see the inside! And the music, this place is pure perfection! We got 2 burritos, a steak egg and cheese (con papas) and a chorizo burrito as well as a Plato de chorizo. So, while we were ordering (you order and pay before sitting), this guy walked in without a mask and had the worst attitude about being asked to wear a mask because this establishment still requires you wear one upon entering and the ladies handled his nastiness so well! Anyway, back to the amazingness that was this place, our food arrived so fast!! We also got their aguas frescas; agua de sandía y agua de limón. They were so perfect! Tasted fresh and sweet but not overly sweetened. The burritos were great (I think their tortillas might be made in house, they still had flour residue), the size was big, I added cheese to my steak burrito and egg, to steak, to potato and cheese ratio was perfect. The meat is less like asada and more like cubed steak. The chorizo was so good, I liked that it wasn’t super greasy like these tend to be. The chorizo plate was perfectly portioned and came with a flour tortilla. Can’t wait to come back and try more of their food. The owner was also here checking on people, making sure everyone was satisfied, such great hospitality. Such a great experience and delicious Mexican food. It’s so tricky eating Mexican food out when you’re Mexican because we have certain expectations and this place met them all!! Don’t forget to get the chips and...

Me and girlfriend went do lunch/brunch/drunch/ food dang it ....anywho let's start with Jamaica water not super sweet like most places...I'm already in love....so theres this guy who's like try the fish taco....its really good....so their menu is extensive. We opted for a egg, bean, cheese and rice burrito ..decided to split it once we saw the tortilla ...holly Molly...the beans are traditional Manteca refried and the rice is made with caldo de pollo.....I'm like if I don't see I don't know it continue on with adventure 😋 😅 . The fish taco was cod and deep-fried with an aioli sauce that was to die for spicy yet tangy so yummy. Sooo we are sitting there and remember the dude that was like hey gotta the fish...well he comes by our table and to ask how things are ....in hand he brings a freshly baked cohinito....a litely sweet Mexican bread fresh out of the oven. We split and break cochinito in 2. The first bite takes me back to my childhood ....not to sweet but just sweet enough. His father is the baker omg...at the age of 92 yrs old still kicking out some delicious treats like this. Go ahead folks pass it up but you'll be SORRY!!! BTW they also have a couple other joints one in mesa mangos I think and a burrito joint in Melrose district....can't wait to try. Thank you for your kindness and...

Hands down the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. El Sol Mexican Cafe absolutely blew me away. The flavors were rich, authentic, and made with serious love. Every bite hit like home cooking with restaurant-level skill. The service was just as good as the food. Friendly, fast, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. You can tell they care about their customers and take pride in what they do. And the prices? Honestly, they could charge more and it would still be worth it. Great portions, fresh ingredients, and a vibe that makes you want to come back again and again. If you haven’t been to El Sol yet, go. Immediately. This place is a gem.
