If you're craving all things matcha, Gozen Kamicha gotcha!
Don't let the location fool you. Gozen Kamicha is tucked inside an unassuming Walmart plaza. They're a cozy little matcha haven that's bringing some serious green tea game to town.
Here's what I tried:
Tofu Pudding Matcha Latte ($6.39) - Silky, slightly sweet, and earthy. The tofu pudding adds a fun texture that makes this feel more like a treat than just a drink.
Caramel Coffee Latte ($4.99) - This is a solid choice. Smooth and comforting, though nothing too wild. The caramel sinks to the bottle so grab a straw to mix it up.
Soft Serve Twist with Daily Special ($6.39) - Creamy and refreshing, with rotating flavors to keep things exciting. Like the other big matcha competitor in town, the soft serve twist is hollow on the inside. Don't forget to ask about the daily special before you order.
(Bottled) Brown Rice Green Tea ($4.59) - Pass. You're not missing much even if you're in a rush and badly need caffeine.
Bonus points for offering lactose-free and oat milk for just $0.50 extra. We love a place that looks out for the dairy-sensitive crowd.
The vibe inside is super chill. It's a small, quiet space that is perfect for catching up with a friend, knocking out a bit of work, or just vibing solo with your soft serve and a lo-fi playlist.
It's not a five-star knockout just yet, but it's got all the makings of a neighborhood favorite. I'll be back to work my way through more of the...
Read moreI saw reviews and I was looking forward to trying this place. I usually do not post reviews. But I have no choice but to do it this time. First, please do not waste your time and money here. I ordered the sandae. In a drink cup, tiny bit of ice cream and little bit of red beans and it cost almost $7 before tax. I gave a benefit of the doubt hoping the taste may be good. Ice cream was icy and not even creamy. I barely taste matcha. Red beans were not sweet. Service was horrible. There were three trainees with one trainer servicing customers. They kept reading orders wrong. They kept going back and forth between the counter and sink as they kept messing them up. They serve terrible portion. They were not friendly. My daughter had a matcha latte. It’s like a water. Size is so small and it cost almost $8 before tax.
I hope people will take my review seriously. Never again. Terrible terrible place to go. Don’t waste...

The Shizuoka Hojicha Roll Cake was soft with a deep roasted flavor, and the Uji Matcha Roll Cake had a rich, intense matcha taste — you can really tell they use high-quality ingredients.
The Tofu Pudding Matcha Latte was smooth and not too sweet — the tofu pudding added a nice texture. I also loved the Taiwan Green Tea, super refreshing with a clean, delicate finish.
I highly recommend the Gozen Classic Sundae — it’s the best ice cream I’ve ever had! The flavors are rich, the textures are layered and satisfying, and the sweetness is perfectly balanced — not too heavy at all. Absolutely worth a try!
Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for high-quality desserts and drinks. I’ll definitely be...
