Started out with water. Considered another beverage, but no prices were listed on the menu. For soda, fancy non- alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, and beer. Because ordering an iced tea is so expensive now, I typically spend the extra $1 and get a beer.
Started with a mini loaf of brown bread and butter. Bread was warm so the butter melted nicely. The bread was tasty, which was a nice surprise.
I ordered the Bloomin' Fried Shrimp as an appetizer. The shrimp were hot, tasty, and the right level of crispy. By far, the best part of my lunch. They came with Outback's spicy bloom sauce, which was a nice compliment to the shrimp. They're salty so if you don't like salt, you may not like them. Mmmmm...
Prime Rib sandwich was a complete mess. Small half sandwich for lunch portion (though menu didn't indicate it was a half sandwich but "lunch size"). If I had known it was a half sandwich, I would have reconsidered my order. In the end, I'm glad it was only a half sandwich because I didn't like it. Hard, hard bun - like it was microwaved. Meat was day- old prime rib and had that reheated meat taste. Sloppy. Terrible presentation - almost all of the contents were on the middle/cut edge of the bun. If you're giving me a half of a sandwich, perhaps you should build it properly... I had to rearrange the meat, mushrooms, and onions to have any on 1/3 of the bun. The au jus was the only thing that made the sandwich edible. (It was bad enough I considered sending it back.)
The fries weren't edible. They were hot but mushy and limp with no taste. How do you make bad fries?
Service was meh. Nothing to write home about. Relatively slow. Appeared inauthentic. Would rather chit chat with his co-workers than stop or check in. .
Overall impression: Definitely not worth the $35 price tag + tip. My recommendation? Go to Longhorn Steakhouse across Ray Road. That's where I was headed and decided to try something different. Next time, I'll...
Read moreDirty, dirty, dirty. I really hate giving a bad review. I was excited to go as we were visiting a car dealership across the street. If you can see from the Photos I posted the first thing you see is dirt and dust as soon as you walk in the lobby. The wall in our booth was disgusting and many of the chairs were ripped up Some of the dishes started at $40 We’ll stick to Texas roadhouse much cleaner, much more reasonable prices and a little bit better train staff Everyone there was nice but a little rough around the edges, especially considering the food prices There’s a lot of higher-end restaurants in the valley you can go to for the same or less money. The staff was very friendly, but could use training. I think the crazy thing is there’s no cost to doing a little more cleaning. There’s no cost to removing some chairs that are ripped and there’s no cost to a little bit of training. I did end up getting a hamburger cause I didn’t wanna buy a $40 steak. It was fine. I asked for medium came back to medium rare. The fries were good :-).
Follow up, I see there’s a AI response to my review below, asking me to do more work and to follow up with them I clearly define the problems. I even gave them pictures. If you have problems fixing this yourself you might wanna ask yourself if this is the business you should be...
Read moreIt was my first time ever dining at Outback Steakhouse. The atmosphere was basic, shadowy & a lot of wood. Cozy environment, had to wait an hour to be seated due to it was father's day. Once we got our table and seated the host did not tell me our server name. Just sat us down gave us our menu and walked away. After that it did take about almost 10 mins for our server to come to us. By then we were ready to order our drinks and food. Our server was nice, I would've like that she could have kept an eye on our drinks. I waited a bit to ask for a refill. I was thirsty after an hour+ wait. The bread and butter was very good, bread was warm and the butter light and whipped. I believe we didn't have to wait long for our food, and when it did arrive it was a pleasant sight. My boys loved their cheeseburgers & fries, my daughter enjoyed the mac n cheese with her fresh fruit. The mac n cheese was very, very good! Now my wife & I both got the ribeye, broccoli, she had mashed potatoes I had baked potatoe (loaded). The ribeye was cooked to perfection! & needed no A1! All in all the food was very delicious and worth the wait. Thw food was reason I gave it 4stars. The host interaction & wait for refills...
