Worthy of only a one star rating. Unfortunately we were taken by this restaurants presentation of its upity, gameroom eatery atmosphere. What we got was the absolute worst customer experience in the hospitality industry. We had to wait for the hostess to seat us, which seemed like a project in itself to her. Once seated we decided on chicken wings for an appetizer, and we decided to order our dinner at same time as we didn't want to have to wait a long time. Well, 15 minutes later the chicken wings come, they looked delicious !! They weren't, they were lukewarm at best, but they tasted good so we decided to eat them. We shouldn't have.. Another 20 minutes go by, no food....hmmm waitress says there a little behind. Another 10 minutes go by, no food.. ask waitress for the check and the manager. Manager comes over, I gently explain circumstances that we now have waited over 45 min and tell him this is unacceptable. His response.... Ill look into.. he never comes back. I leave a $20 on the table and as we start to leave table, the waitress shows up with our check. That was epic , they actually were going to make us pay after sitting for almost 50 min waiting on 2, yes just 2 hamburger meals. The least they could've done was apologize for the wait and comped the 2 ice teas , and the chicken wings. Good thing I left the 20 on the table. If your not into waiting on your food for an hour, or don't enjoy cold chicken wings, this place isn't for you. There isn't a single thing that would make me rate this place any higher then a one star. Do not recommend. Highly...
Read moreI really want to give this place a five star review but they're not there yet.
First of all, the venue is awesome. Love the music and all of the retro games. This made for a fun lunch as we celebrated my birthday.
I had a cheeseburger and it was fabulous---it may have been the best one I ever had! Fries were addictive. The appetizers were delicious. Kids menu was great and our two small children were happy. All of us enjoyed the food.
The reason I can't give it five stars is because the place was so hot that we were all sweating. And that was really uncomfortable. Especially when you spend $200 for lunch. The service was meh. It took a long time to get our food and return visits to our table were not as frequent as we wanted. We were celebrating with drinks from the bar and would have had more if we had had the service. And speaking of drinks, we all felt that they were watered down or that not much alcohol was added. That was disappointing.
I don't want to be Debbie Downer on this place because it is really cool and the food is really good. And really, what other restaurant has an alien in a Cardinals jersey?!
If they can fix the heat problem, that would be a big plus. As far as service goes they could definitely beef that up. They have a terrific atmosphere and great food. They also have tons of craft beer.
Give them a try. You'll love the food. I will go back and amend this review based on the experience. It really is a fun place with good vibes. If you love Pac Man or Donkey Kong, maybe slower service is...
Read moreFinally made it to Uncommon for a happy hour/dinner with friends. The place is right out of my memory of the 80's. I will start with the amazing service we received from Taylor, just top level service. The Husband decided to have fancy drinks with his meal and started with the Poppin Cheery Limeade and moved on to the Our Blenders Broken Colada and he liked both, but really liked the Limeade the best. Although, as always he would like more alcohol taste, lol. All beers are $3, which is a plus for me and our friends. The Husband had the Drunk at Denny's (aww memories) Burger, and he liked it, as it was a good hangover burger. His only thing, was it needed a salty or heat element to really push it over the top. I wasn't that hungry and went with the Fried Brie. It was a little different than I thought it would be, super fancy and it was good. The blackberry sauce was really subtle, and I think if it had a little more punch it would make it perfect. Our friends split The Bill Murry and they really enjoyed it. We decided to share a dessert as did our friends. We ordered the Warm Bread Pudding and they got the Henderson Brownie Bites. I think there was too much Cracker Jax on the Bread Pudding for my taste and the vessel made it hard to eat out of and share. Next time I will go with the brownie bites. We didn't get to play any games, which was a bummer. But we will be back to try other items on the menu and play some old 80's games. Make sure to check out the Zoltar curiosities. Hey GenX...make sure...
