great food. i love their bingsoos so much and their honey bread was so good the time i visited- prob few years ago. i do feel a bit sad about this place because it's not a place i'd want to go back very often. first off, atmosphere feels off. it's empty, bright white lighting inside, and feels very artificial. there's ugly fake flower decorations that makes this whole place feel super cheap. tables are often sticky, illustrations on wall are ugly & distracting. it's generally an awkward dining situation. cafes mainly take one of two routes- sunlight, bright, open area or cozy and comfortable. empty, uncomfortable interior with odd lighting makes customers feel uneasy. since the dining area doesn't have room for windows it'd be nice if it was a bit more dim, bring back couches, etc. though this place is named "cafe" there isn't really a coffee menu (not online at least, i don't remember if there's any in person). it's not that bad of a location and i feel like a lot more people would be willing to visit if this place was more inviting to hang out with friends. secondly, the kiosk situation feels a bit odd for a lot of customers. there's a kiosk but there's also a register with noone behind it, making it feel as if I walked into a cafe that's not open yet. there's menu and food item photos everywhere, and it gets a bit overwhelming. i feel like lessening the posters/menus to something more simple, and maybe a rotating display of all the food items would suffice, especially since kiosk also has pictures of all the food items displayed anyways. overall, love the food, don't love the place. i see a lot of potential in this place and would love to see it become a popular spot!

Totally impressed with Who Seek! It's a cafe specializing in a variety of desserts, including cube toasts and bingsoo, along with a selection of drinks like bubble tea and coffee. It's not your average cafe though. Once you place your order you'll find that there are not a lot of places to sit, until you go into the back room behind the "bookcase," where you will be greeted with a bright white room with minimalist decor, worthy of the perfect backdrop for your Instagram posts. You can choose to sit at a table or on one the sofas, it's easy to get comfortable here. We had the matcha bingsoo/snowflake and charcoal latte. The matcha bingsoo was completely decked out with matcha ice cream, matcha powder and drizzle, corn flakes, butter cookies, matcha Pocky sticks, a cheesecake slice(!), and of course a macaron to top it all off. It was refreshing to enjoy especially in the midst of a heatwave. The charcoal latte was very enjoyable as well, a little light on the sweetness but that makes it a perfect complement to the very sweet bingsoo. In case you're wondering, it does not taste like charcoal, it merely looks as dark as charcoal! PROS: literally a lot of choices for dessert and many flavors to enjoy, it will take several visits to try all of them for sure! CONS: at an average price of about $12-15 for bingsoo and butter toast, it can be a bit pricey but it's definitely worth it! PROTIP: if it is your first visit, definitely order in and experience the back room for yourself!

Today I took my mom with me to Who Seek and was very excited to show her the “bookshelf” and the space behind it, however I was disappointed to see that the decor had nearly completely been altered since my last two visits. There used to be plants everywhere and a gorgeous set up with a variety of white furniture but the current set up is semi-industrial. The seating fixtures seem permanent so in that case, I hope something more is added to the decor (something on the table...color scheme?...something artsy on the dark gray wall). I ordered an original honey cubes (enough for two) and again I was slightly disappointed in the change. The cubes were cut way bigger then they used to be the honey butter syrup was also used much more sparingly. As a result, the primary flavor/consistency was just chewy bread. With all of this being said, as an individual experience without the context of the past, the place is a cute modern spot with pretty good desserts and drinks. The honey cubes are a great concept and the belgian waffle is pretty good too.

Awful Customer Service and Awful "Desserts"

So we chose this place after seeing all the reviews online and wanting to try some place new. Not sure if all these reviews were written by family members or friends of the business, but this place was terrible. First of all we tried to order one of the dishes and replace the chocolate ice cream with vanilla ice cream and add some rainbow sprinkles, hot fudge and some whip cream. This request seemed to confuse the employee beyond belief, it took him forever to do it and then proceeded to tell us that if it was not for him being there, we would not be getting our "complicated" request. We asked if he could just charge is more if it was such a hassle, and he told us he already did charge us more, but that still the request would not be honored by anyone else working there, but he would do it because he is SUPER employee. Seriously, this guy charged us $2 extra for 4 sprinkles, switching the flavor of ice cream, and a shot of whip cream, which they forgot and we had to go back and ask for.

Then the actual desserts, the pictures online look great. But we ordered their most popular dish, some chocolate chip cookie dish with ice cream on top and mixed with cereal and another dish of their waffle with the impossible topping I mentioned earlier. The cookie dish was the worst chocolate chip cookie I've had, all cut into pieces on top of a bunch of shaved ice with cocoa pebbles buried underneath. The cocoa pebbles were the only enjoyable part of the whole bowl.

Needless to say, we will not be coming back here again. Customer service was awful, don't act like you are doing a favor for the customer by adding toppings you already have and then charging extra with out even informing the customer. And if your product is as bad as it was, your customer service should be above and beyond to make up for the bad product. Avoid this place, might look cool and trendy, but it's a joke.

I would've posted a picture of our half eaten desserts before we threw them away, but I forgot to take them. If you ever crave cocoa pebbles, just get them from the grocery store instead of paying $13 for them...
