Goodfellows — Restaurant in Chapel Hill

I used to really like this place. Some really nice people. Until they hired some guy named Varun. Super rude. Was told by the bouncer I could bring in my leftovers and once inside. Varun took it upon himself to snatch them without good reason. Mind you I didn’t even have them open. I proceeded to grab them and it made him angry. This time he proceeded to throw the directly into the trash. At this point I was no longer gonna eat them but the principal of it all disturbed me. I grabbed them from the can and he proceeded to grab me from my shoulders and say “it’s time to go buddy.” The hostility was so uncalled for. My friend group as witness saw the whole thing unfold. I personally have never had a worse experience in any service industry in my life. I entered the establishment informed the blonde male bartender I was from out of town. I proceeded to order a long Island which is $5 and gave him a $50 bill to which he proceeded to give me a $20 two $5 bills and $5 in one dollar bills (clearly not the right amount) when I realized this I brought it up to him to which he denied that I ever gave him $50. I personally do not want to go to a bar in which they lie to the customers for a $10 tip because they know I won't see them again and that they won't get caught. Unless you want to be lied to and stolen from I would literally recommend going to any other bar in the world...

Went on a Friday night, so of course the place was extremely crowded (no room to move). Everything was pretty fine, except the music. It was announced that the dj was taking requests, and took requests from a few members of our group, but he went as far as to shake his head no before a single word was spoken when me and another minority in my group approached him individually with our song requests. I honestly felt slightly discriminated against. Not sure what this was about, but I definitely think the place could benefit from playing what patrons...
