I just wanna begin by saying this place looks good. It might be the best place for everyone else, but it’s not the greatest for me. I have tried three times I’ve tried the poori and chole tried the chicken 65 and the shrimp tandoor The first ever order was horrible, and I thought it was because That was the first week when they opened up and I thought it was maybe due to a rush I let it go recently. I ordered chicken 65 and it was terrible. The chicken smelled like it was kept outside and refried. No taste to it just fried oil dripping out. I contacted the store and deepak told me I could come in and get anything on the house the chicken 65 ran me about $20 On DoorDash I came in today To get my replacement meal sagar was helping me out at first he told me what did I want and I could look at the menu and after looking at the menu for about 3 to 4 minutes I picked out what I wanted and it was about 21 $ When I told him that’s what I wanted, he told me it can only be a certain price Closer to chicken 65 I kinda understood but I was Told I could get anything on the house so I would’ve just looked on the appetizer report if I knew there was a selection they wanted me to pick from I told him that was fine and if you could just take out the cost of the chicken 65 out of the Meal that I selected and I could pay the rest. The total was about like $23 The guy that handed me my food was the coolest guy ever I don’t know his name, but he was a great guy. I come home to look at my food I have five pieces of shrimp for 21$ I know I didn’t pay the whole price but still you’re gonna serve somebody five pieces of shrimp for $21 I could get a whole bucket Shrimp from Popeyes for less than 15 bucks I don’t know if they were profiling me and just didn’t care about my food as much, but they just filled it up with a lot of vegetables and topped it off with five pieces of shrimp Not to mention, the guy helping us check out, had a attitude, the whole time, huffing and puffing I kept it classy, and I kept it moving. I didn’t wanna come back and complain, but this was Outrageous🤣🤣 They won’t see my face back there The one in Raleigh is way better than this one. I don’t know if it’s the change of management or change of staff but Changes need to be made at this restaurant Thank you too Deepak And the guy that handed us our food great people no...
Read moreEnded up at Zayka on a cold and windy Thursdays evening dinner date. Service was good. Food was very delicious. Baingan bharta was very authentic. No cream added, and the heat was actually from chilies and not pepper powder or garam masala, like most of the other restaurants. Paneer makhani too was very delicious. Mildly spiced, smooth gravey with tangy and sweet flavors. Loved it! Mix veg pakora was good, would have been much better if served hot on a chilly night! Lamb chops- meat was too dry. The iron skillet was hot but not the chops. Didn't enjoy them. Naan was soft and fluffy, served hot. Overall, besides naan everything was served slightly warm. Would have preferred hot meals. Do not waste your money on drinks. Ordered summer mule. The drink was too sweet and couldn't taste any alcohol. No apple puree as the recipe calls, just flavored apple essence. Tamarind ginger margarita was too sweet. I would definitely give them...
Read more#Employees are ill-mannered and racist, don't go!! #It's a total red flag!! My visit to Zayka Indian Grill & Bar was a profoundly disappointing and uncomfortable experience. The service was not just bad, it was shockingly rude and unprofessional. We were subjected to unacceptable wait times for everything, and the food was served before our drinks. The waiter's behavior was completely ill-mannered and made us feel disrespected. He asked us inappropriate questions and was verbally abusive. The entire experience felt like a display of racist and ill-mannered behavior. The lack of basic manners and professionalism is unacceptable. Restaurant owners need to ensure their employees know how to behave and respect customers before putting them on the floor. Proper training on mannerism is clearly needed here. I would not...
