I've been a loyal Cosmic Cantina fan for years, and I'm absolutely loving the new location and its fantastic ambiance! It's clear they've put a lot of thought into creating a welcoming and vibrant space.

The food continues to impress, especially the vegan platter, which is consistently delicious. And let's talk about the guacamole – hands down the best I've had at any Mexican restaurant, anywhere! And the horchata! Just order it!!

Went there last night with a group of friends after the gym because they are the few places on franklin street open late. Everything was great, we enjoyed it but here’s the reason for the low rating. Out of the 5 of us, 4 of us started experiencing symptoms of food poisoning. Sending some of us to urgent care and in my case the hospital because of how terrible the symptoms are. One of my friends very upset that we went for from feeling amazing to the majority of us being bed ridden decided to call the restaurant and talk to the manager. The manager proceeded to tell my friend that we were “bluffing” and it’s sad to see. It’s not first time we’ve been here but sadly it will be the last time. Do better...

I first tried Cosmic about ten times when I went to school at UNC from 2011-2015. When I worked on Ninth St in Durham, I frequently tried the other location, which was just as good, although a longer line with the Duke students, but it was worth it. And now I order takeout all the time. It's nothing overly fancy, but it's honest, good food, great portions, accommodating, authentic, and affordable. They're open almost all hours of the day, and the Mini Veggie deluxe has only gone up 80 cents in 7 years!
