I have a severe wheat allergy. I noticed the menu only had one item marked gluten free, which I thought was odd. I ended up telling the waitress I had a wheat allergy and asked if there was anything else that was gf on the menu. I gave her a few options of which I was interested in, of which she went to ask the chef about. She came back telling me everything was gf except for the breads. I ended up ordering the salmon. When it came out there were wontons on top I was told were rice and no wheat. Thank god I listened to my intuition and I told the waitress I donāt believe these are wheat free, she said she would double check. She came back out, taking my plate saying Iām sorry the chef read the ingredients and there is wheat in this dish. (Waitress was very nice, honest, and accommodating.) She asked if I want her too bring out the new dish without the wontons on it. I said sure as long as there is no wheat in the soy sauce. The chef then brings out the dish again with just plain rice and salmon over top. He put the veggies on the side with the soy sauce still on it and said you can eat the veggies if you want but they have wheat in the sauce. I couldnāt believe the lack of responsibility and then the disrespect like as if Iām being tested to see if my wheat allergy is real. The waitress asked me if I would like anything else. I decided that I would go safe and just eat the sweet potato fries marked gf, well she came out again and said that they are not gluten free because they are made in the same oil as other wheat products, but itās marked on the menu as being gf. Well I ended up not eating while my mom ate and nothing was comped for us in the end of our visit. I did speak with the manager who offered to comp our entire check, we shall see if he does, but I want people to know how irresponsible this restaurant is there. Please those with allergies be very careful or donāt come here. I will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were really excited to come eat here for our anniversary. We ended up changing our reservation time & then going to the wrong place & being late anyways. The hosts were so nice about it and worked with us, saving our table so that was really nice. We sat down on the patio and the view was beautiful. We then waited over 10 minutes to be greeted by our server, which only happened after we had to stop the host and tell her weād been waiting for a while. Our server told us he was training and apologized. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. Drinks were good and the Thai tuna salad was delicious. By the time our dinner got served we were sharing one water glass. We ordered our entrees, my boyfriend got the grit cakes with shrimp and I got the New York strip with melted bleu cheese crumbles medium rare. His plate was delicious. Mine came out with a large piece of melted cheddar sitting on top of my $29 steak. I peeled the cheese off of it, told my server that it was fine, and ate it how it was. The steak was cooked to temperature perfectly but without bleu cheese, or mashed potatoes, was entirely bland. It tasted as if it hadnāt been seasoned with even salt and pepper. I was really disappointed. Who has ever in their life ordered a steak with melted cheddar on top of it. That was literally ridiculous. That on top of being neglected for the first 10 minutes of our dining experience, and eating such an expensive beautiful cut of meat that was seasoned so terribly, really ruined our experience. There was potential but we were overall disappointed and couldnāt wait to get out of there. If this really was a trainee, where was his trainer. He was very nice but certainly could have used...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSat at the bar. Got a sweet tea pretty quickly. Left alone for 20 minutes while we wanted to order food. Finally got the bartenders attention, they ran to get us a menu and leave again as I tried to interject, first that we don't need menus, second that we're ready to order. I'm not very loud so I wasn't maliciously ignored but it still didn't feel great. 10 more minutes pass. So now I've been there 30 minutes and I'm ready to bail. With no attention from the bartender, I go up to the front desk and ask how much the tea is so I can leave. They don't know but they try to help me anyways. I'm told "maybe if you stand there awkwardly they'll get to you?" OK. I try the section where the servers are getting service just to try and get someone to ring me up or tell me how much the tea is so I can leave money at the table. A server quickly stops me to let me know this is server well only. Makes me feel a bit like an idiot. So I go back and leave 10 quarters. Hope it was enough. Now I'll acknowledge a few things, we got there about 7pm on a Saturday. It was busy, No one was just sitting around doing nothing. I'm not very tall or loud so I don't think I was deliberately ignored. I just don't understand everything else. Why didn't the bartender ask if we wanted food? Why couldn't the front staff find out the price for me or get the attention of their coworker? Where was the manager? Everything just went wrong and I left really upset I didn't get the experience I was hoping for from such a beloved establishment. I might try it again when they aren't busy but I felt really...
