I didn't think it was possible to leave YoPo in a worse mood than when I entered. Today I was proven wrong. Let me be clear: I love YoPo. I have always had good experiences there. Most of the college students who work there are very good at what they do. But today was different. I don't know if they were high schoolers or nervous or hadn't been trained, but my friends and I just had the most frustrating experience ever in YoPo. For one: one of my friends was handed her yogurt and was not checked out for multiple minutes. So she stood there awkwardly waiting for the girl who had just served her to come back. She didn't, so someone else had to check her out. My other friend ordered two cups, one of which was a small. The small cup was terribly over filled, immediately dripping, and we had to get a large cup to dump it into. Now for me. I ordered a large "with room for toppings" from the get go. The young man serving me put both yogurt flavors in and then stared at me blankly. Normally, the toppings are packed in after the first flavor so they're not tumbling off the top and then the second flavor is added. But no. My (very few) toppings were lazily slopped on there and falling to and fro. I'm pretty sure I lost more sprinkles to the floor than made it to my mouth. Nothing was really wrong with the yogurt, but the service was just abysmal. Please train the new employees better. Sincerely, a frustrated...
Read moreThis place is a chapel hill classic and favorite. They have six flavors, one flavor is always oreo, which is their best one, apart from Banana, which they rarely have. Banana is so good that I end up buying a few pints for my freezer. Anyway, their prices are amazing and they have a buy ten get one deal. i can buy 5 yopo (thats what the cool kids call it) for the price of one coldstone. so, this is a no brainer. The only downside is that they dont have banana that often and the new girl who cleans the glass to protect the toppings uses windex or some equally harsh chemical, stop spraying that near the food! i am sure after this review, they will fix that, but its still...
Read moreDefinitely a classic Chapel Hill spot. Love receiving their YOPO Wednesday deals. Despite this, I implore you to not get toppings. For an already pricey cup of frozen yogurt, the extra two dollars for toppings is worthless. Prepared to get absolutely scammed. You’re paying for maybe half a teaspoon of each topping you get. Do yourself a favor, get the frozen yogurt, walk over to Target and buy the toppings you want (it is guaranteed to last you a couple visits). I was proudly a weekly visitor of YOPO, but unfortunately the lack of toppings despite paying extra one too many times has made me too sad to come back as much as I’d like to. Still love...
