Groucho’s Deli is officially back in West Ashley, and it’s like they never left. I was excited to revisit this old favorite after their long hiatus from the area—and I’m happy to say, the food is just as delicious as I remember.

I ordered the Apollo Dipper with extra meat, and it hit the spot. This sandwich is the definition of comfort food: a warm, soft sub roll loaded with hot ham and turkey, then topped with melty Swiss cheese that pulls just right with every bite. What truly makes it iconic, though, is their Formula 45 sauce—a tangy, creamy blend that tastes like Thousand Island meets spicy Russian dressing. It’s the kind of sauce you’ll be thinking about long after the meal’s done.

Amazing experience, food was Delicious! Nick was my server and he kept the drink refills coming. Pasta salad, chips, Apollo dipper and of course the 45 Sauce were all spectacular.
