Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Charlotte

This Chick-fil-a has good, 5-star level food. Several things prevent me from giving a 4-5 star rating, however. First, they are only open until 5pm daily, and are the first restaurant in Southpark’s food court area to close each day. This, combined with the usual all-day Sunday closure, makes it very difficult for me to frequent this restaurant as often as I’d like too. This is the only Chick-fil-a in Charlotte to close that early on a daily basis. Secondly, they are the only restaurant in the Southpark food court not to offer free soda refills. They say this is due to the pandemic, but there are sanitary ways to offer expected free refills if every other location in the food court can do so. Also related to this, they do not want to give you a straw with your drink, when they serve it before your meal. When I asked for a straw, they refused, telling me to wait for my food with which it would come (I got my straw from the Nori Japan next door, who have theirs out, wrapped, and conveniently placed). Third, wait times during the lunch rush are a bit overlong, especially considering this location doesn’t even have a drive...

This is by far one of the worst locations for Chick-fil-A. They are extremely disorganized, rude, unwelcoming and not clean. We came in to grab some quick lunch while doing some weekend shopping. We placed our order after being in line for a long time. After 25 minutes we got our food. We ordered lemonades and got them spoiled, fermented. I went back to request to get something else to drink… the lady behind the desk didn’t even say a word. She did give me another drink but there was no apology, she didn’t go to check the lemonade or to remove it, she just went about her day. Disgusting. Few hours later my wife got stomach discomfort and felt sick. I suspect it was because of the lemonade as she took the most sips before realizing how awful it was.

I guess because it’s at a mall, nobody cares about this place and running it as any other Chick-fil-A. But being one of the more luxurious malls in the area you’d think it wouldn’t...

This location is the only Chick-fil-A I’ve ever had bad service at. The lady taking my order couldn’t understand what I was saying and rolled her eyes at me the entire time I ordered. She made me feel very uncomfortable. Also they were not busy at all but the entire staff was tripping over/running into each other as if they had 100 orders to make. Very unorganized and the staff is just mean. I will never come back to this location ever again.

UPDATE: I was at the mall food court again today and I walked past this location. Overheard a few customers saying they were messing up more orders and being rude. Also, don’t trust the positive reviews because it’s literally people affiliated with the store trying to boost the rating. This location is literally the worst...
