Quite possibly the worst service we’ve ever had. I’m sharing detail because the manager has to find a better trainer for staff.
The restaurant was not very busy as it was a Tuesday night around 8:00. The hostess was very friendly and helpful, offering to clean a booth for us. The problem was the waitress.
We waited over 10 minutes for our waitress to come to our table. Our waitress was “training” a new employee (God help her) and was so distracted by talking to her that she ceased to serve the customers at all. For example, she took my drink order for iced tea, then my husband asked her a question about the beer on tap, and she glances to her left and then just walked away without saying a word. We were puzzled and wondered if she was going to get samples of beer or what she was doing. 5+ minutes later she finally comes back to our table, and looks at me and says “have you decided what you’d like to drink?” She didn’t recall walking away in the middle of the order. When I said I already ordered an iced tea, she said “oh that’s right you did, didn’t you.” It then took another 10+ minutes to get a tea and the beer showed up about 10 minutes after that. The service never got better from there. We ordered salads but had to tell the guy who brought our entrees to the table about 30 minutes after we had ordered that we never got our salads (and we couldn’t ask our waitress about them because she never checked on our table) so salads came after the hot food arrived. She and her trainee finally came by to ask if we wanted refills after we’d had no drinks for half the meal, and we each asked for a refill. They then went on to serve other tables food and refills. About 10 minutes later, she brings my husband his beer and turns to walk away and I had to stop her to ask again for an iced tea pointing to the empty glasses of tea and water in front of me. She looked puzzled like she didn’t recall me asking for a refill. The food was actually really good but the service was ridiculous. I saw another customer ask to speak to the manager to complain about his service so it...
Read moreI reached out to corporate first to try and figure this out but it has been 72 hours and they have not contacted me so I am posting this review.
This occurred on Wednesday 8-6-2025. We have had dinner and or drinks at multiple duck worths locations over the years but this experience went too far. We order drinks and food. The drinks were one beer and a double Tito’s and soda. When we received our bill we noticed it was odd showing a “titos rocks pour” for $12 then a “Tito’s 1.25oz” for $8. We found it to be odd as we have never been charged like this before. We asked our server and he told us that this is how they charge for a double. We then asked if we could speak with a manager. After this another server confronted us saying that she was glad we said something because she feels like this happens more than it should. This was a red flag. The manager arrived and said she could not do anything about the bill immediately, in a very aggressive way, and that the “rocks pour is a 2oz pour” which means that I was poured 3.25oz. Someone I was with was a previous employee for duck worths and she said this was not how they did things. We then reached out to another employee from a different location and was told that this was incorrect and we were over charged for our drink. Between an employee at this location telling us this has happened before and another employee saying this was incorrect I feel like we got taken advantage of and it is apparently happing more often then not.
Update: I changed my review from 1 to 3 stars. This is because James the GM reached out and we had a great conversation about the issue. He was very understanding, listened well, and just had a great...
Read moreI want to preface this review by saying that I was skeptical after reading the reviews for this location. The awesome thing I can say that I took away from reading those reviews and what I experienced is that they are listening and are working to make changes. This is from my observation from a customer service consulting standpoint in which I have years of experience.
My daughter had a meeting next door at Summit Coffee and I was hungry and wanted to also not interfere with her meeting. After searching the area for somewhere else I didn't have to leave my parking spot for and realizing Mal Pan wasn't open on Monday, I decided to still give Duckworth's a try. I hoped for the best for lunch even after reading the reviews.
Entering in the host was amazing and seated me right away. My server Emily was at my table within a few minutes even though they were a little busy for lunch. Emily's service was amazing and she was super kind, as well as attentive making sure I had everything I needed. Sometime during my eating a man who I believe was the manger came and asked me how everything was. I say I believe because he never actually introduced himself as the manger but he seemed as if he was.
Food was quick but not too quick and hot. I had the chicken Philly with sweet potato fries which were absolutely wonderful along with the house chips for an appetizer. Everything was awesome and based on the experience I would go back again. After having experienced other locations and being worried about this one, I can say that at least for the lunch I experienced, they are taking the opportunity to rectify some of the issues that I saw complaints about in...
