Istanbul Hookah Lounge — Restaurant in Charlotte

Awful service, I went there on a Saturday night with some friends, there weren't many people there and there were plenty of waitresses. Even so, my friends ordered beers and we waited 20 minutes only to have the same waitress come back and try to take our order again, we politely reminded her that we needed the beers and I asked for a menu, and she apologized and left. Another 15 minutes later another waitress comes and we tell her we need a new hookah coal. The first waitress came back and only brought one beer, and a water, we reminded her a second time that two more people needed beers and I still needed a menu. One of my friends told her he wanted mozzrrella sticks. After she came back with beers and I had to ask her a third time for a menu I started to get pretty mad. The second waitress came back so we just asked her for the mozzerella sticks and menu and reminded her a second time about the coal. I ordered and my food came out pretty quick, but it wasn't very good. In a giant wrap there were only two pieces of falafel and it was packed with onions and lettuce. After 35 minutes someone finally came and changed the hookah. By then we only stayed a few more minutes and decided to leave. Then the waitress tried to cash us out and had a major attitutude about it because we wanted to split the hookah 5 ways. She tried to charge one of my friends for 3 orders of mozzerella sticks, and we had to tell her that the reason we asked three times is because they never came. So I am used to another hookah lounge in Charlotte, but a friend suggested this place and I decided to go. Overall to me it was a bad experience. Here are my overall ratings:

Drinks: 8/10

They were perfectly made, not too weak or too strong made just the way they should be.

Customer Service: 2/10

They were busy granted, but after we selected what we wanted, which took 10 mins we waited an additional 20 before they came to take our orders. Took another 30 to get the hookah, but they had warned they were awaiting a hookah to be free as they were all in use. When we got it, the flavor was low and it had a VERY dry after taste, so we asked if we could get a repack, which the place I go charges 5-7 bucks a repack, they were asking if they could get it free for us, especially since we heard they would charge us a full price hookah for the repack.

All the while were sitting next to the bar and watch our drinks be made, we saw them sit on the bar for 20 minutes before we received them. 10 minutes later they finally got back to us and switched our hookah, we assumed we had picked a bad flavor and this one would be better. We were wrong...

The location is great. Atmosphere is really laid back but don’t come here unless you like to wait. My fiancé and I waited about 20 minutes plus to get our hookah. We chose two different flavors and when I asked a staff member about using all of the first flavor before I get the other flavor she said we would have to ask before we get the next one then was told we got both together when I asked again. I purchased a repack and waited 45 minutes to have a staff member come up to tell me that they’re waiting on hookahs when I already have one. I also gave a staff member $5 for a $3 beer and she kept my change without asking if she could keep it or not. Awful service.
