Pie In the Sky Pizza — Restaurant in Charlotte

The staff have always been energized and friendly. The person working the pizza counter said the special is $6.50, but when it rings up it always seems more expensive than it should be (even when thinking of tax). 6.50 with sales tax of 4.75% for prepared foods in NC should be a total of $6.81. I recently saw a small sign on the register that said they add a 4% (!?) surcharge on credit card transactions, but my total was $7.32 before accounting for my method of payment. In any event and not including the 4% surcharge, the price aligns with a $6.99 special, so maybe the employee misspoke. Pizza is pretty good and even with the price confusion, 7.32 is a good deal for 2 slices and a drink. I just hope they clarify these descrepencies in their advertised price. I will have to check the sign the next time I walk by.

The slices are big, I already took a bite of one before taking my photo. The flavor is a great combination of fresh ingredients and people that know how to make pizza taste great from first bite to last. Definitely has a NYC size and feel, but better taste and more options. There were 15 different pizzas available to choose from. I had the margarita with tomato and basil as well as the garlic mushroom. The garlic mushroom used a white cheese sauce with some Italian seasoning. I wouldn’t order from them again or suggest them for catering. Taste 5/10. They are thin crust but it was somehow still dense and chewy- not light and flaky as it should be. We used them for a corporate party. They delivered on time and were helpful with setting up. They also got the order wrong- mixing up one pie. The delivery person didn't seem very concerned or apologetic about it. I wanted to alert a manager of the situation and was met by the same delivery person... telling me they are the manager.
