I like the overall appeal of this place, but the drinks were terrible. I never pay for mine and not at least TRY to drink it. My friends and I tried to play darts, but because there is no system in place, the equipment was less than available. What few ones we did get were broken and then taken by someone else. I might consider trying this place again, if I was in the area.

I was trying to walk back to my car safely, the way I came at the start of the night, in a well lit area, and these two bouncers started screaming at me, saying they didn't care how unsafe I felt - that I had to walk around a dark, unlit area alone. I told them one of them needed to come with me if I was gonna do that, going the opposite direction of my vehicle. They insisted that I'd "just come out of a dark alley" so I'd be fine, which was not true. I just walked out of the back of Amos, where I was working that night. This venue is right against it, and the path I was walking was the one I'd taken to get to the door. I'm not from this city, I'm alone, and I have no interest in walking in unknown, dark alleys by myself. If the people employed here care so little about people's safety then I don't think I'd advise going there honestly. Not to mention they rolled their eyes at me when I asked what if I got murdered - as if that's not an extremely common thing to happen to women walking alone at night in unknown places. Just unbelievable. I would highly recommend some ethics and...

Was there tonight and I bought a man a beer who was standing at the counter between the inside and outside of the bar. The bouncer told him he couldn’t drink the beer on the outside and had to come inside to drink it. So he did and my husband and I were having a great conversation with him when a bouncer came to our table and told him he had to leave. We were having a great conversation about his life in Italy and he was talking about his veteran benefits etc. obviously he was homeless but was very well educated and we were really enjoying our conversation. Supposedly the manager from The Gin Mill, who was talking to my daughter’s friend, told the staff this guy was a threat because he left The Gin Mill recently with an opened tab. The scene quickly turned bad and we were forced out of the establishment simply bc I bought a needy person a drink. WE WILL NEVER GO TO THE BRICKYARD OR THE GINMILL ever again!!!’ Once was enough!!!!! HORRIBLE ESTABLISHMENTS THAT DO NOT REPRESENT CHARLOTTE WELL!!!!!!! There are many more bats that are more classy and fun than these...

My friend had a horrible experience here. She stepped near the door to wave my friend over because she was alone inside, she had a cigarette in the other hand extended into the patio. A bouncer immediately started cursing at her, then grabbed and pushed her backwards with his hands on her arms and chest. She told him repeatedly not to touch her and that she wasn’t going inside, she even dropped the cigarette but he ignored her said he didn’t care and that she needed to leave. Another security guard joined him, and both of them continued to grab and push her all the way past the gate. Even after she asked if they could check on her friend, they refused. She was completely violated and unsafe. There was absolutely no reason for two grown men to be so aggressive and...
