This has become one of our top favorite restaurants in Chattanooga. The owner and the staff are so kind and it’s clear they care a great deal about the quality and presentation of every dish they serve. We’ve tried almost everything on the menu at this point and truly everything we’ve had has been so delicious I daydream about it on a daily basis. The udon is the best I’ve ever had — the broth is so balanced, the noodles are cooked to perfection, and it has so many delicious extras. The ramen is SO good. So flavorful and rich you suffer a little sadness when it’s gone. The sushi, though — just wow, the absolute best you can find in Chattanooga. The menu is limited (which I love!) but the quality and freshness of the fish is magic. They also use real wasabi which is such a beautiful touch. Honestly can’t say enough incredible things about this place! All hail Bento Ya! <3

Truly amazing! Everything about Bento Ya is exceptional, from the soup (udon and ramen are both incredible), to the sushi (best salmon roll or tuna roll in the city), to the kindness that every single employee has shown us over our many visits, and of course the owner, Uma, herself. The quality of the fish, the broths, and every single element of the food is amazing. You can tell that a lot of thought and work was put into each and every item. I’ve never left disappointed. And quite frankly, I’ve never eaten a meal here without a huge smile on my face. The staff are warm, welcoming, and happy to answer questions or accommodate special requests. Since we discovered Bento Ya, we’ve been back a wild number of times in the last few months because we just can’t stop. I cannot recommend it highly enough! Seriously, too good

Has a genuine Ya feel to the atmosphere and the EDM music is relaxing. Tables and chairs are comfortable. We had a mixed fish sushi and both the beef and salmon bento boxes. We also grabbed a couple of salmon onigiri to go. Everything lives up to the fresh hype. The mixed fresh vegetables were a standout, unlike bento boxes, anywhere else. They really compliment the meal perfectly with their flavor profile. Everything we had was delicious and the perfect amount of food for the price point. It's a great relaxing and refreshing meal that doesn't sit heavy if you have more activities planned for the evening. I can work this place into a regular stop rotation when I want Bento or some onigiri to go.
