This review is long overdue, prompted by yet another delightful birthday celebration with dear friends at Home Bar in Chattanooga aka an artistic oasis. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting for date nights, large gatherings with friends, and girls’ nights out. For anyone considering a visit, Home Bar is an absolute delight and promises not to disappoint.
It's a whole vibe! From the moment you walk through the door, you are captivated by the artistry and meticulous attention to detail. Every inch of the venue, even the bathrooms, is designed to create a unique and enchanting atmosphere.
The staff at Home Bar are truly exceptional. George, the host and poet, welcomes you with such warmth that you immediately feel at home. His poetic touch adds a special charm that sets the tone for the rest of the evening.
Art adorns every corner, inviting you to explore and immerse yourself in its beauty. The specialty drinks and cocktails are fantastic, and the menu tantalizes the taste buds without disappointment.
Ben, the manager, is incredibly hospitable and ensures everything runs smoothly. His dedication to making sure guests have a great time is evident. Genesis, Matt, Lee, and Brian also make their rounds, connecting with guests and enhancing the welcoming atmosphere.
For someone who grew up in Miami and lived in NYC before moving south, having such an inviting and artistic space like Home Bar nearby is exciting. There's something for everyone, including specialty themed nights. Kudos to the entire team for creating such an extraordinary experience....
Read moreThis place barely deserves the energy to write a bad review honestly. I chose Home as the dinner spot for my out of town bachelorette party, simply based on vibes. Reserving a table for 12 seemed to be quite difficult for this establishment to handle as it took several months to even get the date and time confirmed with the GM. At arrival, we were greeted and I promptly told them we had a reservation and they were aware of our party of 12. We were then ushered to a table for 8 people - they stated they could pull a couple more chairs up but there were no other tables they could pull together; this led to us needing to split the tables so we could fit everyone - completely unacceptable especially considering this reservation was made MONTHS prior and was even confirmed a month before and they day of. After this, service was terrible, our waitress acted like we were the biggest inconvenience to her and not once did anyone apologize. We were given two free bottles of cheap champagne instead. If you're looking for a place to celebrate something special, please go elsewhere as they are just not prepared to organizationally handle something like this. Additionally, our group witnessed several incidents of groping happening in the restaurant which was just the cherry on top of everything else.
TLDR: Predatory vibes, terrible unorganized, bad service, food was mid.. could...
Read moreWent to dinner for a birthday and loved the atmosphere at this place. It had been about a month since this place opened up so I knew it was still working out some kinks. Ordered their mojito mocktail, feta dip to start and both were good. Once we asked about entrress we were told they had no Parmesan fries, Mac n cheese, and their one dessert. Ended up ordering their one burger and parmesan asparagus. Burger was delicious. Parm asparagus didn't come, told our server and eventually they came out. Good nothing special though. Once I got my check I noticed the feta dip mentioned it was $13 and I double checked the menu and it says it's $3. I asked out waitress about this and she mentioned it was a mistake that they knew about. Didn't sit right with me that it was still being advertised as less and being charged more. Even more so that they were aware. I was still charged the $13. I don't have a problem paying but false advertising feels wrong. Hopefully they work out their kinks because this place has great potential but advertising false prices and increasing their customer service should be a priority.
P.S. Shout out to the guy at the front greeting people he was really nice and welcoming but unfortunately it kept getting worse as...
