Recently took a trip to TN for a little couples/parents getaway & while there, the husband & I scouted for different restaurants to eat at. We were looking to steer clear of the cliché chain restaurants, so I did some research. Now, mind you, no one told us about this awesome place prior to visiting TN, but we were so glad to have found it nonetheless! We located Maple Street Biscuit in what appeared to be the Downtown District of Chattanooga, we had no issue finding reasonable parking. Once inside, the decor had a brick industrial, open concept feel, which I adored. The greeter immediately engaged us in convo & provided us a menu. I don't know if we were just that famished or just shocked at the options, but we couldn't decide on any one dish to eat! We asked for suggestions & received great feedback based on local popular picks & we were NOT disappointed! Every single item was dee-lish & well priced! Utensils, napkins, condiments & beverages were self-serve within reason (due to COVID beverage refills required new containers each go-round.) It was self-seating, but spaced appropriately. I posted our experience on our social media & quickly found out that I had been missing out on Maple Street! Nothing but great comments followed. Not anymore though! We returned home to our state & realized we were only minutes away from one! I'm sold! My newest breakfast, brunch & "just...
Read moreFirst of all, Barbara was the most welcoming and caring person to our family as we arrived with six people, including a five-year-old, a three year-old and a baby, only a half hour before closing. We felt bad coming in so late, but we were so thankful to find nourishment and welcome arms on such a busy morning. Barbara could tell that I was a flustered grandma, and she walked me through ordering, paying and everything so smoothly. It seemed only seconds before we were all sitting at the table with our meal. What a warm and lovely person she is! Second, your cooks are absolutely phenomenal! Everything was cooked perfectly, and so delicious. We love the special spices, The hash mash discs, and the most scrumptious biscuits on the planet! Your coffee was so rich and delicious that it actually became a favorite! I still can’t believe how welcome everyone made us feel and just how happy the atmosphere was. So professional and so clean was this wonderful restaurant. We just can’t thank you all enough for helping us relax and enjoy our kids and grandkids. We thought it might potentially be a chaotic dining experience, due to arriving late as a large party with kiddles, but thanks to Barbara and the rest of your kind staff, instead we made a beautiful...
Read moreThis place is the best for breakfast! I love their specialty biscuit menu, but you can get normal feel-good foods anytime. The fare is very tasty and comes in large portions. The coffee is a pretty mild blend, so if you're looking for super strong, you may not find that here. It is very nice and smooth, however. I personally prefer eating on the patio out front, but they have plenty of space available for inside seating in the industrial-style dining room. One of my favorite things about this place is how they call you when your order is up. They usually ask you a fun pop culture question when you place your order so they can call you up when it's ready (instead of using your name). I think the question changes from day to day, but when we were there the question was "what TV show would you like to live in?". It's just a really cute way to stand out. I love it. Another thing that stood out to me was the little sign they had at the register that said something along the lines of "we do not accept tips because we believe in serving customers with the utmost hospitality". Wow! How refreshing! And every employee we interacted with was super friendly - they really deserved tips! We will definitely be back to this...
