Server: (Peyton) 4 Greeting time: 10. (1 minute) She was very sweet and friendly. She checked in with us right after the food came but didn’t come back again after we tried it and until we had been sitting with empty plates for about 10 minutes. We just didn’t see her much and leif kept wondering where she was going and where she was because she wasn’t in the restaurant 😂 She did not prebuss our plates until the check came. If something had been wrong with our food (there was) there wouldn’t have been any opportunity to fix it until everyone else was done eating at the table.

Drink refills: 6. She refilled Leif’s water twice and he didn’t have water his whole meal because she didn’t come back after the food was first served until way after we were done eating. Ethan and I had to ask had the end as well for a refill. She had only offered refills once near the beginning.

Hostess: 2 We were not greeted when we came in and there were two hostesses at the hostess stand. I moved up a little and finally asked how long the wait would be for 4. She said 20-25 min so I went ahead and put our name on the list and she asked inside or outside I stood inside and waited and the rest of my family stood outside. There is no where to sit to wait either in or outside and there is very little room to stand inside. I do understand how seating works and that in order to space them out and not double seat a server they can’t all be sat at once. The hostess sat two parties of the same size who put their name on the wait and came in after we didn’t had been waiting about 30 min at this point. She sat us then beside a large party of young women having a baby shower. They were drinking mimosas and were being very loud. There were five open booths on the other side of the restaurant (they had been open the whole time we waited) and I asked him if we could possibly sit there because the baby shower was a little loud. He said sure and seated us there right away. Then those other parties who came in were sat right away in two of those other booths that had been open.

Management. — 6 He was just fine. He re-sat us and was friendly enough. The reason we’re giving a 6 is because the wait staff is undertrained in service

Atmosphere: 7. Dark wood decor Wooden tables and booths. Modern. Industrial look and modern chandeliers. Wood slat divider walls.

Table comfort. 7. We sat in a wooden booth. It was fine and average

Food overall: (the food was auctioned off by the food runners) Appetizer: —- Main course Omelette . 5 Jennifer. It was ordinary and lacked flavor. It was very small. Hash browns were very salty. They tasted like sonic hash browns

Burger. Leif 5 The bottom bun was soggy from the wet lettuce they put on the bottom of it so it fell apart. It was very messy. The meat was good. The fries were fine. They were frozen fries. He said he didn’t expect very much though and it was fine

French toast Ethan 7. He said it was just ordinary French toast and the caramel rum sauce made it go from a 5 to a 7 cause it was different.

Chicken salad sandwich. Juliette 4 She said this was the worst chicken salad she has ever eaten. The chicken was canned and the whole sandwich was soggy and runny. She said it tasted like strong Dijon and some other seasoning she couldn’t recognize. The two tomatoes on her sandwich were not ripe. She ate most of it because she was hungry and no one came back to check on it. She said she mustered through the taste and texture because she was so hungry 😂😅

This Mike's Tavern Restaurant has certainly been a welcoming addition 😋. They are located in one of Chattanooga's fastest growing areas. This is located off Hwy.153. This area is surrounded by nice hotels 🏨, restaurants, shopping centers 🛍, workout facilities 💪, groceries stores, and a convient store selling some lottery tickets 🎟. There have been some Big Time Winners 💰. Speaking 🔊 of Winners. Mike's Tavern is certainly a winner in his own right. Like sports ? Like social connections? This most popular restaurant serves up some winning 😋 menus. There are always plenty of cars 🚗, and trucks 🚚 at his place of business. Okay y'all got all of this. Go ✔️ it out for yourself. There are just as many customers on the inside. They are enjoying some delicious 😋 food. This is always with Great Customer Service. My co-worker order for several of us Educators while at work in one of our local schools. Thanks for your service as well 👍. We had the Brisket Nachos, along with Fries. The Most Popular Tavern Burger 🍔 along with Onion 🌰 Rings. The Mike Wings with Mike Sauce to go. We were good to 🚶‍♂️. There are other delicious options as well. We all look forward 😊 to getting together as Educators sitting down inside the Restaurant. It has cool 😎 vibe environment.This is just perfect for us after a stressful day of teaching, and learning. Y'all get the point 👉 lol. Then point your, friends, family 👪 and yourself to Mike's Tavern. UPDATED August 2020 (see previous review below). A friend suggested that the daily specials are the way to go at Mike's Tavern so I decided to give this restaurant another shot. My pal was right. Whereas my first experience here was forgettable, the second visit was very good. Really tasty meat and vegetables platter served promptly. The employees were much more warm and friendly than before also. The place still has too many noisy echos that could be improved by installing carpeting on the walls or baffles. And I still don't like televisions in restaurants. But it's food that counts and these folks made a believer out of me this time. Whereas the first sandwich experience was fair at best, on this occasion the daily special was rather exceptional. Rating upgraded from a 2 to a 4. Always best to keep an open mind... ORIGINAL REVIEW with original rating of 4. Decided to try this tavern based on so many positive Google reviews. After my first visit, my guess is that most reviews may be from owners, employees, and friends of the establishment. The space is nice, but noisy. Television sets are on constantly and turned up loud. Sandwiches were average to okay. The sides were not good at all. Had to wait over half an hour for food to be served. Prices are high and definitely not justified by the quality of the food. I want this place to be great but unfortunately it is not. Disappointed overall. Cannot recommend Mike's Tavern at this...
