Moe's Southwest Grill — Restaurant in Chattanooga

This place has great food. The menu does not have an age limit for the kids meal. My fiance and I both have the Moe's app and we were getting free queso and thought that sharing a kids meal, which comes with a drink would be nice and be just enough extra for us. I got up to the register and asked if it came with a cook and a drink and she said thats for 12 and under. The guy behind the counter making food said that if I had of said I had a child under 12 I was taking it to I could have gotten it all. I joked and said I got a kid I'm taking it to. His voice went to annoyed and stern real quick with like a bad attitude and told me since I had already told them they could not do it. I was ok with it until the lady at the register look at me and in a like your an idiot voice and very unhappy tone to her voice said I don't make these rules my boss does. I WS given my receipt to sign and wrote "Hell No" in the top part because with such poor service I wasn't giving ant tip to any of the poor attitude employed workers you have at that establishment. What made it worse is the cashier showed the receipt and what I had wrote to the customer behind us. I feel that is poor because it's like personal business. Also the lady at the register eyed me down the whole time I was getting my fiance a drink. She needs to be fired. She does not seem to converse and do well with the customers. She definitely needed an attitude adjustment when working with me. I work in a restaurant too and o can be having a bad day and have rude customers, but for an employee to be rude to a customer is unacceptable. It's down eight not good business. If I did not think things needed to change, and quick, I would not have taken the time to write this long of a review. If i could give this location 0 stars I would. they dont even deserve 1 star. every time i go to this location there is an issue. first issue was a while back, my order was incorrect and i was missing items. I contacted the store and asked for a refund and was informed that it was sent through. 3 weeks later go by and still nothing on my bank account so i contact them again and there is no refund sent through. I contacted someone higher up after this incident and they solved my issue and were very nice and understanding. The next issue was today. I had a curbside order and arrived a few minutes before the time it said the food would be ready. so i gave it a few minutes and the. called to check in, waited for 20 minutes then finally walked in to check on the order. i waited in line to check on my order by the pick up area for about 15 minutes and half my order sat there before the other half was done. chips were like chewing cardboard, they didnt include my chips, salsa, or queso (which was $8). i asked for the items i was missing, got old chips and a cup of queso filled up 1/4 of a cup. came back inside asked for a different cup of queso and got a disrespectful attitude from the general manager. she simply rolled her eyes and didnt say a single word to me. when i called back because my bowl was ALSO WRONG she had a really bad attitude and eventually told me that i couldnt even get a refund or anything else and then hung up the phone because i asked to speak to someone higher than her because i was tired of listening to her disrespectful tone. My daughter has been begging to go to Moe’s lately. We used to go quite a lot and hadn’t been in quite some time, so after some Monday night Christmas shopping we decided to go. Our party ordered 4 burritos, a bowl, and a large queso. Everything went smoothly through the line…the food tasted like it should. Then about halfway through her burrito my mom pulled out a long hair…ugh…definitely wasn’t hers as it was pulled from within the burrito…she was done at that point. Otherwise the food was good, but that’s hard to get past.

But that’s not all…after the hair incident, my mother decided to use the restroom. The restrooms here are not the type with stalls, but the type with just one toilet and a door that locks. Inside the bathroom in front of the toilet was a small trash can with about 4 inches of vomit inside. Again….yuck. Assuming the staff didn’t know about it and would want to dispose of it, she went to the employee at the counter and told him. His response was “yeah one of our employees is sick”. Yes, people get sick, even on the job at times, however dismissing it without having someone immediately remove the can of puke is disgusting. He did not move to correct the issue or appear to alert anyone else to do so. And yes, it was still there when we left.

Overall…definitely won’t be going back to this location any time...
