Hooters — Restaurant in Chesapeake

My husband and I decided to visit this Hooters on 15 Jan for a late lunch/early dinner after a day of shopping. Right after sitting down, I had a feeling it wasn't going to be good. We sat in the bar area at a high-top table. We were seated right away but it was almost 10 mins for someone to come take our drink order. I ordered an iced tea and my husband ordered a beer. My tea came almost 5 mins after I placed the order but my husband's beer took almost another 10 mins. I'm not sure why because we were sitting right across from the bar where we could see the bartender NOT pouring his beer. The beer finally came but at this point, I had finished my sweet tea but no one had bothered to ask if I needed a refill or to take our food order. My husband had to ask someone to take our food order. The hooters girls that finally took our order said our waitress was busy so she was helping. At this point, 20 mins has passed before our food order was placed. While waiting one of the managers was walking around changing all the TVs to the football game. It was fine except he turned all the TVs to a very loud volume. We were sitting right under a tv and it was so loud it wasn't comfortable. With no food and no sweet tea refill, I was ready to go. Although My husband only drank 1/4 of his beer the Hooters manager made sure we were charged full price for the unacceptable service we received. We left to get food someplace else. Ordered food to go, which I do from this location on average of about 2-3 times every 12 months. The quality food is usually dependable, meaning that it's never been bad for me, nor has it ever been great either. I know what my family is going to get from here.

Ordered on a rainy Saturday evening, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the tables around 75-85% occupied, which is good for the local franchisee. My order was placed for pick up at 7:30pm, and it was a little behind (I walked out the door w/my food at 7;39pm) but not really bad. The floor waitresses were bringing the to-go & delivery orders to the bar pretty fast once they were up, all while working their assigned tables. It looked like they could have used one more waitress, but things were moving along well.

Brought my order home for the family, and the only complaint was that we ordered the wings hot, but they were barely medium heat. A few shakes of cayenne over the remaining wings fixed that. Also, the wings were cooked very well, with a slight crisp to the breading that Hooters wings are famous for, which was a nice surprise. The curly fries, burger, and tots that were all part of this order were prepared well and tasty, according to the rest of my family. This was a very good experience from a location that has struggled on occasion in the past, so I give them big props for...

Me and my friend tom have visited every Hooters I hampton roads , florida georgia and a few others in our travels. We agree we like the bar set up in this hooters. On this visit there were two girls working we were there 5 minutes after opening, there was one other table we ordered beers and they were out of many beers choice was bud, mich ultra, vieanna later, and el guapo. So we reordered a vienna and a el guapo instead of our sam adams, two more tables came in , I got up went to restroom, I'm handicapped sour a few minutes twogo back n fourth, we also were sitting at the bar area. Beers still not on table waitress Kayley was moving around getting others orders and the hostess realized we haven't got our beer n ran them over, from that point the refilswere on time , my buddy got wings asked for ranch that came almost wen he was done. Kayley was sweet and very polite . But we are two old retired guys who come in expect a beer wen ordered. Maybe we will give it another try next time out at the mall but for now hands down Hooters on general booth blvd in va bch had all of them beat at this point. Well cheers...
