909 North — Restaurant in Chicago

I came to this establishment 3 weeks ago I did an interview as an hostess there with A supervisor that was no longer going to be working there anymore . Why did she interview me and another person and was leaving the next couple days is kinda crazy to me . She told me someone will reach out so a week past I gave them a call just to check the status and get in update . I've was told they was doing more interviews and would give me a call back . So I've waited later that week I revived a missed called and gave them a call back but once I return the called no one answered so I left a voicemail . Last week I called again the 4ty of October I was told some one would reach out bc the position has not been filled . I've been getting miscommunication and bad information. The people that work here is very unprofessional and future reference I don't appreciate what I just had to go through . I just spoke with HR and he stumble his words just to say "oh the position has been filled" . I've called 3weeks in the row and got nothing but the run around they didn't even have the courtesy to send a decline email. I was really interested in working here but I will not be treated unfairly. I will not stay at the Westin any more...

909 North is located inside the Westin Hotel. Not much to say here - didn't have a pleasant experience and the experience matched the atmosphere. Let's jump right into this review.

I popped into 909 North one evening to grab a bite to eat. Your girl had already walked about 4 - 5 miles in Downtown Chicago and I opted for food in my hotel.

I sat at the bar and was greeted by the bartender and handed a menu. That's all. I had no other contact with the bartender to place my order. Bartender assisted others with drinks, but, somehow kept missing me to take my order. After about a 10 minute wait - I left.

This review is not about food because I didn't have the opportunity to try any food. Customer service was lacking. The menu is limiting. Prices are steep. So, I appreciate being ignored. Saved my hard earned coins for a restaurant that has employees that are attentive...

Superb service! I was sat immediately on a weeknight, escorted to a nice booth with white tablecloths, away from the bar which was pretty loud and busy. Very extensive wine list & happy to find a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc(which is my favorite). Decided on the lollipop buffalo wings - they were just the right amount of spicy, salty and savory, plus lots of sauce. Interesting touch that the celery/carrots were shaved into ribbons.

Now, I gave 5 stars not just for food and service but because they went beyond expectations. I had a housekeeping issue that I was telling my server about and she literally came back with a breakfast voucher for the morning! I was able to get a breakfast sandwich & yogurt to go the next day. Now that's SERVICE! Lots of options on the menu as well so I would definitely return if I'm staying...
