I thought was good, Booked through BOOKING.COM my normal Company for trips, I have had some experiences with the Hotels on this website some have been less than stellar (Motel 8 in Gurnee) to one of the best in MI Fairfield in or around Detroit (Great Coffee and Buffet Breakfast). The Residence Inn on the Magnifice Mile is gorgeous from the outside, looks like an apartment building.I made this reservation for a King Studio with sofa bed, had to change it because a larger group was gonna stay.Customer Service worked wonders to get the King Studio changed to a 2 bedroom Suite, this would have been 4 Queens to accommodate 6, when I had to change the room back to the available King Studio with sofa sleeper, all within 2-4 Hrs they did so without charging the price of the 2 bedroom Suite (an extra $200). I was grateful because I'd already paid for the King Studio..much to my dismay they charge $100 a day incidental fee, NEVER REPEAT NEVER HAS AN INCIDENTAL FEE BEEN THIS HIGH. Okay so I wanna park I was gonna look for a regular parking structure they charge $40 per day, the Hotel Valet is $65.52 per day charged to the room.Valet tells me it's $70+ tax cheap or not I really don't wanna be hit up for extra money when I tip anyway!!!! This PANDEMIC has made people crazy-greedy when pricing has to be agreed on. We walked to the restaurant and on a day trip I stopped at another restaurant and bought extra "necessities" was aware the Studio had a kitchen, turns out it is a beautiful, fully loaded one with plates, cutlery, pots and glasses(not saying I wanted to cook, but I could have). The last thing is if I parked with Valet, why would He ask if I got a ticket the night before 10/23/2020 my car was supposed to be parked where ever YOU store them!!! Taking a photo of my Valet ticket and remarking that my stay is/was Friday the 23 of 2020- Sunday 10/25/2020, check out at Noon. I checked in after 5, and didn't drive until Saturday 10/24/2020 after 2pm, where you told me as long as I am a Guest of the Hotel I have multiple in and out, until my CHECK-OUT, WTH?!! The Hotel is lovely I will stay with Marriott, MM and probably will check out the other Downtown locale. But PEOPLE, watch your pricing no matter what Website you use. I have done Travelocity, FunJet, but I have a love for BOOKING.COM who has now added FLIGHTS to certain...

Worst hotel evererrrr!!! Dont go there please please you will waste your money. And btw let me start by saying there are no wifi in the room and when i called them to tell them about that they said there is nothing they can do to fix!! Hahahah||Lets start by saying i traveled the world but this is probably the worst place i have been into , the only good thing about it is its location. Lets start by my experience with checking in, so i am a tourist and its my first time here in chicago , they asked me for a deposit of 500$ for my 2 weeks stay that was already paid in advance. I asked the receptionist “Marcos” if i can pay him in Cash the full amount he refused and then he told me he doesn’t accept cash in the hotel , since i am visitor and a tourist i did not have a debit card but my brother and father are a US citizen so i asked him if he can cooperate with me since i came for a very long flight of 24 hours and if he can hold the deposit in cash for a few hours until my brother comes in and give him his debit card. He refused and he said that i should wait until my brother come at 9 pm to check me in. I begged him to understand from a humanity pov that we are very tired and my mother is sick he still refused i even asked him to put one of my credit card on hold and then he threatened me that if he does that then my brother has until 7 pm to come and give his debit card , if he is later than 7 pm then he will have security come to our room throw our stuff out and kick us out and he will cancel our paid reservation!!||I was treated in the worst possible way a tourist can be treated and even though my full stay was paid in advance he treated me like i am kind of a thief , i just asked him to cooperate and be patient with me until my brother finishes work and come to provide his card!! I even offered double amount in cash as a deposit! And i was threatened to be kicked out of the room i fully paid for?||What kind of service and attitude is that?||I am in the country of human rights and i am treated in a very disrespectful way, is it because i am a tourist? Is this how you...

The worst trip I have been on in 20 years of travel. I normally try to be kind and not complain because whenever I do, my situation never improves (people spit in food, I get moved to a room that is much worse, etc.), but this was too much. For background, I am partially physically disabled and need a wheelchair half the time. Some days are good and I can walk a bit. ||The parking is valet only at $70/night, but good luck finding that posted anywhere on the website. I've never stayed anywhere where the parking wasn't included or at least posted clearly. ||The dishwasher only works when you flip a switch that they have left unlabeled and unreachable when sitting in my chair. ||I paid for a room with a transfer shower and I was given a room without one that my wheelchair could barely move around in. It's a standard size electric wheelchair, foldable, and quite compact as far as power wheelchairs go. The hotel claims that the room was listed as having a transfer shower, but definitely does not have one. Pics attached for how unmanageable this room was with a chair. It says it is an ADA accessible room, but there was no way I could get my chair on either side of the bed. I am able to walk short distances, thankfully; otherwise I would not have been able to function. ||The website promises a full breakfast with baked goods, juice, breakfast tacos, and more. In our five mornings of breakfast it was rubbery scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage (they alternated days), seasoned potatoes, mediocre white bread, stale bagels, watered down "juice", milk (percentage never specified, and pre-packaged yogurt. Cereal was only put out on Saturday. Coffee is available in the lobby mostly all day. ||The elevators are so small I couldn't turn my chair around unless I was the only person in the elevator and even then I was barely able to avoid scraping a wall. So I was stuck backing in or out of the elevator and kept bumping into people I couldn't see.||I am tired, sore from the uncomfortable beds, annoyed at the cold vent pointed right at our faces all night, and glad to never book with...

I booked three rooms at Sonesta based on glowing reviews, but the experience was appalling. Upon check-in, one of the rooms had a bathroom in a horrifying state. The bathtub appeared to have vomit stains, frozen mucus, and even blood marks. When we brought this to the staff’s attention, their initial shock quickly turned into dismissiveness. They sent a maintenance worker who spent 20 seconds wiping the tub before saying, “Yeah, this can’t be cleaned,” and leaving without providing his name or any solution. When we informed the front desk, they asked for the worker’s name, and when we explained he hadn’t given one, they brushed us off. We requested a room change, but the staff claimed the hotel was fully booked and refused to accommodate us. After much back and forth, another maintenance worker was sent and spent 30 minutes scrubbing the tub with little success. Instead of addressing the issue, the staff blamed us for the stain—an insulting and baseless accusation—and also claimed it was due to rust on the ceramic tub (????) The staff’s lack of empathy and dismissive attitude was unacceptable. They refused to notify us if another room became available, leaving us stuck in an unsanitary room. It’s outrageous that such a filthy room was deemed suitable for guests. I strongly caution others to avoid this hotel.
