The roasted coconut adds a satisfying crunch that complements the tender shrimp and the vibrant mango, providing a dynamic and exciting mouthfeel. But it's the queso fresco that ties everything together. Its creamy richness tempers the heat of the peanut sauce while harmonizing with the other ingredients. Read moreI was between 2 and 3 stars. If I could do 2.5 I would. But I'm giving 2 because 3 is just too high. The pros: This place is right on the river, super casual, order your food/drinks at the counter/bar area, they give you your drinks right away and bring your food shortly thereafter to your table. We were there on a Friday night and they had a DJ which was cool, good music. Beautiful views as you eat. Staff seems very conscious about sanitation and keeping things safe amidst COVID times. The cons: this place can do much better!! It feels like it's just a spot that people will see first along the River walk and go eat there cuz it looks nice, and since there's that lure, they don't feel the need to impress via food or drink. The drinks and food are way overpriced for what you get...I understand this is on the river and that Chicago is expensive. Yes $14 is a pretty standard rate for a drink, but they literally poured the drink from a premixed pitcher and threw a lime on my paloma and a mint leaf on my husband's mojito. No. They should be making the drinks to order, or charge less. We got a variety of tacos and they were all just meh. $60 for a mediocre meal, and I won't be back. I honestly don't care if there's some price gouging for a good view/ambiance, but I want to still feel like it was worth it, that the food at least tasted great, but I can't say that for here. I would honestly save your money and either eat somewhere else along the river, or simply bring your own food and go just a bit further down the Riverwalk and find a spot to plop down...
Read moreThis is a nice Mexican restaurant with good food and views. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. This restaurant is located on the Riverwalk and it only has outdoor seating, so all of the seats have a beautiful view of the Wrigley Building, Trump Tower, and all of the other adjacent skyscrapers west of the DuSable Bridge. This restaurant has tables with two and four chairs as well as a row of hightop seats with a view of the Chicago River. I walked by here at 10:00 am and the restaurant was blasting Romeo Santos, so I decided I’d eat lunch here so I could eat with an excellent view while listening to some exquisite music. However, when I came back here at 12 they were playing Cumbia music instead, so I was a little disappointed. However, I still got my food from here. I got the Thai Shrimp Taco for $6, which was a purple tortilla with shrimp, pico de gallo, and some other stuff. The tacos tasted amazing, but the portion was pretty small so I got a second one. The second one tasted as good as the first. The tacos shells tasted good, the shrimp tasted excellent, and the sauce used in this dish tasted excellent as well. I gave this restaurant five stars because it has great food with a great view for a great price. I still got a good deal even after...
