I don’t even know where to begin. I’ve been in the restaurant industry for over 15 years, and this absolutely was one of the worst experiences I have ever had.
Now let me get this straight, Princess, our server was absolutely amazing! She was polite, prompt, and on key with everything we needed. She was very, very quick! I have been here 3 times before, and let’s say the other 3 servers were not the best. Why had I gone a 4th time. 1. It’s right by my house, so for convenience. 2. Wings, primarily Buffalo wild wings, are my absolute favorite food to eat. So hence, I kept coming back for more.
As soon as I get there I was told that it is about an hour for food to arrive. I just worked 14 hours. Finally sat down with my kids at about 10:20 for dinner… yes I know that is extremely late… but given our circumstance this night and recent days events that had occurred I thought we were due for the pleasures of eating out. So I thought why not. By the time we traveled, sat and ordered at another establishment it would be about an hour anyways. So, we decided to wait it out…..
We ordered our appetizers right away. They came out 10 minutes later. Then ordered our entree… which took only 30 min. Great! Since we were expecting a hour. Now, I know I’m being a little picky but we had asked for all flats. Again, our server was on point except this detail. So we were not upset at all. People make mistakes. Like I said I was in the restaurant industry so things like this happen.
The manager had told us that the 15 wings that had came out incorrect would be redone as flats. Perfect! I told them since we were already getting full to please make them to go, and that it was no issue.
Time goes on… next thing we know one of the servers is vacuuming near and all around our table… it’s 11:28 at this point! It’s open till 12. They began flipping tables to the side even! They weren’t even closed yet! I personally found this to be rude and not the right manner to conduct your business….Aren’t you supposed to clean your establishment after the place is closed?! :/
Anyways… I try to ignore the fact that we were being rushed out before closing…. And then I hear screaming and foul language coming from the kitchen. The other servers were also giving me looks of complete embarrassment. A few minutes later our server comes out apologizing and with food that we asked to be given to go in hand. I just knew right away! I told her she was the best server we ever had at the establishment. I’m unsure because I don’t know what goes on in the back… but the manager seemed to be just walking around… and that cook should of been reprimanded for putting her down for making a simple mistake. That was a complete embarrassment of how he acted!!!! I have never in my life heard such a thing occur! He should of been fired on the spot! Someone tells you to remake 15 wings, you do it… you’re on the clock!
Anyways, that was my experience. I will not being going back here. I will be traveling further, going OUT of my WAY just to go to the Skokie location, or any even the Indiana location that has the best service and wings at. Again, I had 3 previous bad experiences here. Two of them behind COLD food. Long story, too much more to type here. I feel bad for the server. She was amazing and deserves so much better...
Read moreIt's normally a pretty decent experience, but this time it was a great disappointment. I went with the family upon my son's request since it was his birthday. We went early to avoid the Friday rush. After our orders were taken the server returned to our table with our drinks and said the computer was down so they couldn't put our orders in. I spoke to the manager and asked why they couldn't just write down the orders, keep track of them and prepare the food. He basically said there would be too many dine in orders along with the many carry out orders to be processed and that was too difficult to keep track of. He assured us they were working on the problem but we weren't the only customers affected. I understand that our society depends on automation, but with them there was no plan B, they stopped accepting patrons and basically ceased all operation. They could have told the carry out customers about the problem and refused to take those order while they processed the orders of those dining in. One would have thought with reduced capacity due to COVID-19, a plan B could have been implemented and would have been somewhat manageable, but that wasn't the case. The worst part about it was as we sat there, no one thought maybe we should bring them a little something for their inconvenience and patience. I had to demand that the bring out some complimentary chips to hold us over. Needless to say, the ordeal went on too long (about an hour of waiting at the table) so we left. They didn't make us pay for the drinks and chips, which was fair, but our plans to celebrate a birthday and have a family home movie night afterwards were ruined since we still had to find a place to eat. Finding another suitable place to dine was also a chore being that it was much later into the Friday evening, and wait times had surpassed an hour or so at most places. That experience ruined our night, I hope the management learned something from it because I know they...
Read moreHonestly a terrible experience all the way through, saved only by the manager Frank, for being so kind. For starters the online ordering system has many glitches (I know the system is corporate and not just this specific store, but something to note). When ordering wings you can only select one side of ranch, when also ordering veggies. One side of 2 ounces of ranch is not enough for 10 wings and veggies. There is no way to add more ranch, even as a side item so I am able to pay for it. I simply put a request for extra ranch in the comments section. Fine. Moving on. During the check out process i tried to add my gift card, but was told the card was expired — despite saying “this card never expires” on the top of the card.
My order was promised at 6:30, but I didn’t arrive until about 7 to get it. When I walked in to get my order I was blatantly ignored by the girl working the counter. There were other people waiting so I gave her some time because they were obviously a little busy. Minutes go passed and I’m not even acknowledged. No exaggeration, 7-8 minutes passed and still ignored. Quite honestly the worst customer service I’ve ever received. The girl kept leaving the counter to do things, and even was told by another employee that she had to stay at the front counter at all times. Finally had to flag down another employee to grab my order for me. They gave me the order, and I checked the ticket, said thanks then left.
My fault for not checking my wings until I got home. My traditional lemon pepper wings were fine, but my friends boneless wings came as traditional. And only one ranch for each order. Only had enough ranch for half of my wings, not even any of my veggies :( When I called back about the wrong order, Frank was very nice and told me he was going to refund the boneless wings. Frank’s saved the experience from a complete disaster....
