Watch out for extra charges!! Cute desserts but shady business practice. When paying for the dessert we ordered, the man working there asked us if we were locals or visiting. We said visiting. There was no option to print/ text receipt after paying, so I asked for a paper receipt. The receipt he gave me wasn't itemized, so I asked if he could print an itemized receipt to show what I bought to get reimbursed for work. He hesitated and said he couldn't print an itemized receipt. He said he could just tell me how much the item was. I asked if I could maybe take a picture of the screen on the iPad. He said he couldn't let me do that. I repeated that I needed something itemized to get reimbursed for work. He then said he could take a picture of the screen on his phone and let me take a picture of the picture on his phone. I did take a picture and noticed that extra charges were added to my purchase. 41 cents for a box (even though we ate it there) and 12% gratuity added (even though I never selected anything. There was no option for gratuity when paying). Unfortunately, I won't be back and won't recommend this place to anyone due to this type of business practice of adding on extra charges/gratuity without the...

Le French Patisserie is cuteness overload, esthetically gorgeous just like the desserts they are selling. Came across this spot after walking back from Navy Pier. It's close by.

Le French Patisserie offers coffee, gelato, & delicious pastries, including croissants, profiteroles, crème brûlée, and tiramisu.

What did I have - La Mure Tart - $12 -Blueberry confit, light yogurt cream, almond dacquoise - light/fluff texture, refreshing, and creamy

Guava Cold Cheesecake - $9.30 - Creamy cheesecake infused with sweet guava flavor and topped with a guava glaze - creamy texture, the guava is infused throughout the dessert (taste in every bite), it's sweet but not overly sweet (good balance)

Pros Beautiful bakery. Beautiful desserts. Friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Indoor seating. Extremely clean inside.

Cons The lady who assisted me was very sweet, but she didn't know dessert ingredients. There are signs but I had specific questions like - gluten free, etc.

Overall, I recommend trying Le French Patisserie. The curbside appeal is adorable and the desserts are to delicious looking and tasting to pass up. Just inquire about ingredients if you have any dietary...

Le French Patisserie at Chicago's Navy Pier and Lake Point Tower is an absolute gem! After indulging in a hearty Chicago hot dog or a slice of stuffed pizza, this is the perfect spot to satisfy your sweet tooth. The selection of French desserts is divine, featuring mouth-watering eclairs, delectable fruit tarts, creamy profiteroles, colorful macarons, and refreshing sorbets. They even cater to dietary preferences with their dairy-free and gluten-free gelato options! Or gluten free macarons. My favorite was the espresso macarons, as also recommended by the staff!

Their fruit smoothies are not only delicious but also feel like a healthy treat. Coffee lovers will be in heaven with their variety of options, including cappuccinos, lattes, and espressos, all available with your choice of oat, soy, almond, or coconut milk. After picking up your treats, take a leisurely stroll along the lake for a perfect Chicago experience. Highly recommend this spot for both tourists and...

Heartbroken after stopping by today 😭💔 I was so excited to find a patisserie that does beautiful entremets, so we stopped by to sample before ordering a cake for a celebration. Glad I did because by the time I drove home 40 min later, the passionfruit (yellow) melted and they weren't taped down, so they slid each other. 2 hrs later, the whipped cream even slid off the raspberry (long) one 😢 TBD on the taste. $9 a piece isn't bad at all and I was promptly served when I visited 4pm on a Sunday afternoon. Plenty of seating indoors and on the patio. Stick to dining in quickly, not take out. Edit: the raspberry was a crowd favorite (I didn't taste, but it was missing a crunchy component besides the wafer thin biscuit) The passionfruit was aggressively sour and sweet. The matcha pistachio was least liked (I thought it was fine).
