Starbucks — Restaurant in Chicago

This place was a messy! I visited during the car show and it was pretty busy so I can understand them being a little disorganized but that is no excuse for the quality of customer service and product to decline so horribly. I ordered an iced tevana and a blended strawberry lemonade. The woman who took my order was extremely confused and had to ask several people if they could make the blended starberry lemonade, and they all just shrugged their shoulders. She asked me if it was on the menu and I said yes and she said “well if it isn’t on the board then we can’t make it”. Right as I was ready to order something else, another associate told her that they could make the drink. The woman taking my order was clearly annoyed and shook her head, not listening at all when I asked for whipped cream. She finally acknowledge my request after I asked for the 3rd time and said “are you sure you want whipped cream on top”. She asked me this question several times and I said yes several times. Then she asked “do you even know what this drink is?” She only accepted my order when I told her “yes I do, I’ve had it several times before and it’s never been a problem”. Finally I get to the register and another young lady asked what my order was. I told her and she turned around and told the person making my drink “she wants a frap”. I stoped her and said “no it’s not a frap! No one here seems to know what I’m taking about so just cancel it” she insisted that they can make it so I pay for the order. Then she asked me if the drink was really on the menu or if it was on the secret menu. I had to show her that the drink was an actual drink made my Starbucks, on the official Starbucks app. Then she goes “ well if it’s not on the board then it’s not really on the menu but we can make it.” In what world does Starbucks only make those few drinks they have listed on the chalk board? I’ve never heard this excuse before from any Starbucks I’ve ever been to. I finally received both of my drinks and they were both wrong. The iced tea wasn’t made with the proper ingredients and the blended lemonade tasted like a watered down strawberry smoothie. I didn’t even bother to go back because these brainless people wouldn’t have been able to fix it anyway. Biggest waste of...

Horribly rude african american male employee who made our drinks! He should not be working in customer service!! I visit Starbucks at least twice a day every day and I always order the same drink the same way. We love starbucks and always have great service from the baristas. We are definitely starbucks regulars. We were there yesterday for the auto show, and although the line was predictably long, we went ahead and waited. The ladies that rang us up were personable and no issues there. The issue came when he was making our drinks. We always, always, always order our drinks with no water. He claims to not have put water in the drink but it tasted very flat and watery. So we asked him to remake the first drink only. We had 4 total. They all looked very watery and were no where near as sweet as the ones we normally order. After reading all the negative reviews I am thinking they are probably adding water to the box mix to make it last longer. He was so mad about having to make our drinks and said very loudly "this is why it is taking so long". Then he proceeded to whip the box into the garbage as if he was mad that the box was empty. Like he is paying for it or something. He needs to be in the back stocking supplies and not dealing with the public. Next time I think we will pick up our drinks from a "real" starbucks before coming to mccormick place. This dump gives...

Went to the auto show and decided to stop at Starbucks. The line was long as expected but I decided to wait since I saw like 8 employees. Everything seemed smooth until I go near the front of the line. There was gentleman dedicated to pastries and he was very polite and professional. The ladies at the register were not. There was only one person working the register and I kid you not one lady [dark with blond hair] applying lipgloss while leaning on the counter. Then this other lady comes out from the back. She and I believe Mary [register person] started arguing or something in front of everyone completely ignoring the line of like 50 people.

Mary then proceeds to walk to the back leaving no one at the register. No one even decided to try to take orders while the two were hashing it out so there’s a guy standing by the ovens, a woman putting on her makeup, and two women making drinks. Incredibly hilarious but completely...
