I hate to do this, but I have never had such a horrible experience at a place before. The blonde bartender, Stephanie C. (I specify that it was the blonde one because I don’t know if there is any other Stephanie that forms part of the staff at this location), she was unbelievably rude. I wish I would’ve had the opportunity to talk to a manager about the whole situation. Trying to celebrate my friend’s birthday because we heard that the food was delicious at this place, but still shocked with the terrible service from Stephanie🤦🏻♀️. Shoutout to the gentleman that if it wasn’t for him, we wouldn’t even had been able to get our food. I think that he was a busser. His name was something like Marino or Mariano, I didn’t get his name clearly, but he was on duty inside the bar cleaning and after several minutes waiting to order, we had to stop him and ask “hi, we see her busy and we understand, but we have been waiting for a while now, how do we order or where do we order? What’s the process?” He tried all his best and helped with the order, he told me that to open a tab the bartender needs to have my credit card, I gave him my card, he gave it to her and even after knowing that we were waiting for her for several minutes and that we had to stop the gentleman that was cleaning to be able to order, she never came to us. Not even an hour later when we received our sandwich and burger. We got there at around 6:45pm, we ordered simple stuff with the gentleman because we saw him struggling and when he told Stephanie that we were ready to order she stated: “WE ARE BUSY THEY NEED TO WAIT I HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF THE REST OF THE BAR”. Still shocked. With my friend we were just sitting and couldn’t believe the whole situation. Felt embarrassed for Marino and the way she spoke to him (still not sure about his actual name) we genuinely thanked him several times for his help. We ordered with him a sandwich and a burger. It turns out that it was already 7:35pm and we STILL didn’t have our food… besides that, I wanted to order wine, my friend another cocktail, we wanted dessert and another dish from the menu… never was able to because she NEVER approached us. The only moment she did approached us was the first minute after being sat, she checked our ID’s and got me a pepsi that I asked for at the moment because I told her that I wasn’t sure about what drink I was going to have and the cocktail she got my friend. Later on when I noticed that she never came back, I tried to get her attention the whole time and she was just completely ignoring us while taking care of the rest of the bar (taking care of new people coming to the bar and not us that were already there). Never felt so left out at a restaurant before🤦🏻♀️ I could understand that she was busy, or that she was the only bartender on duty, but at least communicate with us, but ignoring us completely and taking care of several new customers was insane. It was our first time at this place and we were very excited.Unfortunately, terrible first experience. I ended up stopping Stephanie and telling her to please just bring me the check that I wanted to cancel the food because a whole hour wait for sandwiches was too much and we weren’t even able to order the rest of the drinks, we wasted our time completely. She took her time to even do that. She just said “ok” and turned around. The gentleman came with the sandwiches, I asked for two boxes right away and told him that please I needed to close the check, we needed to leave, we were extremely uncomfortable and unhappy. She was not even listening to us nor to him, she took forever, again, just to simply close our check. I paid for the burger, chicken sandwich, pepsi and my friend’s cocktail, gave lots of thanks to the gentleman that I wish I knew his name. -She knew that she was so wrong she stated before we left “we got several parties in the rooftop, so sorry I left you out” in my mind I couldn’t believe what she was saying and her excuse to the whole situation. Nonsense. She probably said that because she wanted to...
Read moreAs i am sitting in the airport waiting for my flight I can not help but think about fat pour. I curated a happy hour for my colleagues within my department and a sister company to network over food and cocktails. Jada and Jessica went above and beyond with our experience. Although I was sad majority of my guests didnt show up i didnt let that bring my mood down because the girlys energy helped me live in the moment and stay happy. Jessica thoroughly explained the timeline of our party and provided great detail of their new Fall drinks. The Dinner for Breakfast drink might have been one of the greatest tasting drinks i ever had. I even asked who made this! It was Ryan! the staff who catered to us went above and beyond in all aspects. Including the food! YUM!!!! I wish i wasn't flying home because i would have loved to bring some leftovers home for the next day. The other boy Luke was so cute and friendly and helped make us feel at home. The only downfall I experienced is when a manager? i believe Kaylin is his name rudely and disrespectfully approached me LOUDLY and stated LOUDLY although i was the organizer i would be charged additional if i ordered more Breakfast for Dinner cocktails or anything aside from what I initially put together for cocktails. Luckily after i had a venting session ok 2 sessions with Jada and Jessica I was able to calm back down after Jessica calmly held my hand and explained she stepped away to confirm that information was misleading and im able to allow my guests to order anything we please and will not be charged a dime or penny more unless we order more than the amount i agreed on. We even tried malorte after hearing them tell us about how its a big chicago shot! I thought it was yummy or maybe it was the tequila shot i had after! Ding Ding! They even let me ring that Azul bottle bell!!! Others said yucky about the malorte but we still all had a chuckle over the shots! Ryan the bartender even came around to say hello!! And had to make it known yes he loves his malorte and it is yummy! Steffy was a bartender who was on their 2nd level and even swung by to say hello and cheers us to our shots! So friendly!! These 5 chicago people really out showed the chicago hospitality scene! Jessica, Jada, and Luke were on their game and brought such spunk, giggles, and smiles! One of the girls in the party mentioned they were craving chocolate and what happened! A slice of cake arrived! They were seriously on top of their game! I hope to find time to visit next year when i return! Hopefully the rotten manager wont be with the company when i make my return because he is probably the reason some people dont return. Dont let that shy you all away because the faces on the floor of this establishment will make you not want to leave! 5 stars for the food, drinks, and service. 0 stars for that one manager. PS Jada I loved the SIMs talk and I hope you were able to play some Sims when you got home for work! That was such a fun conversation we had over what we feed our sims characters! LOL! I will miss Jessica Jada and Luke! Ryan keep making those blueberrry breakfast drinks tasting so good! Kaylin please find a new career that doesnt include servicing patrons or managing a staff! They did so well and you were the only downfall! 10/10 for the staff of the party, food, and drinks. 0/0 stars for the...
Read moreThe weight staff and the waiter did well with being attentive to customer needs. However, the manager Kassie made our evening difficult and made no attempt to please us as customers. Just to give context we chose this place out of every restaurant in the city to celebrate my nephews graduation with honors. There was an area that they said us at where they were basically telling us unless we ordered family style, we would not be able to sit in the seats that we were in. Instead she offered to put eight of us and one set of tables and eight of us at another. We asked if there could be an accommodation just due to the fact that we wanted to be together to celebrate and she could not make that happen. Real customer service comes down to doing the exceptional. We normally don’t do this but in this case, we will try to accommodate you as best we can. This is what a good restaurant with good management does. We had no problem with the policy. We were just asking if in this case because it was our first time there and we wanted to patronize this place could they just make an exception her response? Is that a complicate the service with a person having to go from table to table I ended up having to order from the bar so that I could order off of the Family menu which was limited, and so our party ended up being dispersed to add insult to injury. She had a very aggressive tone of voice getting irritated when we were asking for clarification, Kassie hit us with it’s either this or that and her tone was unacceptably unprofessional. After I told her that I will give her credit. She did tone it down but just the fact that we were treated that way. Makes me wonder if we were not an all black family who she has no idea our consummate professional professionals what she have treated us this way or we should have made some accommodations. It is not uncommon for managers to make exceptions but then to explain that in the future, we would have to adhere to their normal policy. It was not what she was saying. It was how she was saying it, rude and disrespectful, and with no regard to our little nephew, who is here from Texas, and who graduated with honors. The restaurant Food had one of the worst crabcakes I’ve ever tasted full of fillers and crumbly instead of meaty. The pizza did not have the parlor buttery taste, but instead, it taste like something out of a cafeteria, the saving grace, where the cocktails and the wonderful bartender Cassie Ronde it for this family who are nurses scientist doctors but who she probably considered or just some scrubs so either way I will never be back to this restaurant again ...
