Popped in to Sixes and Eights for a quick bite. It is located on the 1st floor of the Hyatt hotel. Service was great. Friendly staff. I had the rice bowl with veggies. Rice to me seemed old and had lots of brown burnt parts. I love fresh white roce, this was not it. Veggies were tasty and the soy garlic sauce had a nice flavor. Crab lagoons were just ok. Tasted very little like crab and lots of cream. Was not a fan. Overall - ok experience. Staff very nice, food just ok.

Went for dinner during C2E2. The wait was a little long, but was expected during a convention & at dinnertime. The bowls were a good-sized portion for the price. And everything tasted very yummy! I can understand some people complaining about the price, but I think it was not bad for a place inside a hotel/convention center. The egg rolls are very tiny for the price. I will go back if I am attending another event. Pictured is the beef ramen bowl.

I can only speak to the Tonkotsu Ramen which is what I got. Is it the best ramen ever? No. Is the pork belly the highest quality? No, it’s a bit tough. Is it surprisingly good given its location inside a hotel/convention center? Yes. They use real noodles not instant ramen and I liked how the bowl contained a diverse set of nutritious foods like egg, Chinese broccoli, mushrooms, bamboo, and pork. Service was quite friendly.

I went to the Sixes and Eights restaurant within the hotel for breakfast with some of my colleagues. The service that I received was sub-bar and the wait staff was just down right rude. 5 minutes into sitting down, I had more colleagues coming for breakfast. When asked if we can move tables she rudely stated that she is the only one working right now and everyone is on break so, she was unwilling to move our table. Instead I had to get addition chairs myself to fit the rest of my party on a 4 top. I had waited 35 minutes to put in my order. There where many times where I would attempted to put in a order and ask a question, she would answered the question rudely and just immediately walk away when I was about to order. My coffee was never refilled and when I finally got my food I never saw my waitress again. When she did ask how everything else, she would either be 1/2 way across the restaurant or walking by quickly and not stop to genuinely ask.

I talked to what I thought was the restaurant manager about this and all she said was "yah, the night staff is better then the day staff" and "I will let them know"

So I guess bad service is the norm at...

I came here because the dining options in McCormick Place were awful and non-vegan. I came here with the hope of getting a vegan entree. I got a rice bowl with tofu. Oh, the caucasity of it all! The rice was undercooked and NOT sticky. They put in RAW tofu (vomit emoji). And the sauce they squirted on top was too sweet and had zero seasoning/spice. I’m not expecting fine dining under the circumstances. But I am expecting something that vaguely resembles Japanese or Chinese food. This is a mediocre imitation made by and for bland white palates. Oh, and one of the cashiers had a...
