One of the restaurants in the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago. It was the only full service restaurant that was open for lunch and dinner. The head chef/food runner was a lovely gentleman who gave us tips on what to order. The best dishes were the Asian salmon rice bowl, Chicago hotdog, garlic truffle fries and the deserts. The crispy chicken sandwich was over fried…or fried twice (6 hours before l ordered it, then again 10 minutes before l ordered it). I should’ve ordered the regular burger instead of the gourmet one, as the burger was not as good as the regular burger. My iced tea was mixed with Pepsi or Coke, for some reason. Read moreThis is a favorite spot after a convention floor closes for the night, to get off your feet, have a drink and meet up with people. The staff handles surges very well, and for what this is—a convention hotel bar and restaurant—this is a much better option than others.
I would not actively seek this place out if I wasn’t at a convention, there are better eats in Chicago. But after walking 12,000 steps, before crashing in a Hyatt hotel? Yes please.
This is not a place for a quiet meal if there’s an event.

Read moreThe food was actually pretty great. I had their normal burger and the Chicago dog, both with fries. Everything tasted good and looked good and came out at a perfect temperature.
The only downside was their service. It's a seat yourself place which is fine, however, the attentiveness from sitting to paying was WAAAY below what it should be for that atmosphere. One day I went during lunch rush so it was pretty understandable it would take time but the second visit there were only around 7 people (can seat around 75 I'd guess) and a majority of my time was waiting...
