The price for the amount of food was just ridiculous. Our table ordered the kidneys, pickled fish, and beef. The kidney dish barely had any kidneys and most of the plate was seasoning - they diced up the pieces so small there was barely any and they charged $18. When I order from Northern Taste up the street their lunch box that comes with mix of intestines had more kidney in the mix and it’s only $7. The fish dish was $30 barely had any pickled vegetables or vermicelli - you get more for less at Chef Xiong. These two dishes were also extra salty. The only decent dish was the beef in terms of quantity and flavor.
In terms of service it was mostly to order off the QR code but trying to flag a waiter to get a question answer took a long time and they were not great about serving the table water. It wasn’t even busy when we...

Solution-1: Sit near the back, they won't change the layout because more tables = more profit since its a smaller restaurant.
Problem-2: When it rains or snows later, prepare to feel very slippery due to the flooring, especially near the back when there's a lot of grease coming back and forth.
Problem-2: Just be careful!
Update: Just found out we got food poisoning from...
Read moreOur family regularly go to Chinese restaurants to have dinner in the Chinatown/Bridgeport area. But since 川渝小厨 is closed, we cannot find an equally good dine-in spot for Szechuan food. Today we initially had planned to visit another restaurants but saw Alley on the way so we decided to give it a try. It was really a surprise! Their twice-cooked pork and dry chili chicken was cooked perfectly. And my kids also like their braised pork belly and crab flavor tofu soup very much (non-spicy dishes for kids were always a problem of SzeChuan restaurants for us!).Their price appears to be slightly cheaper than a few other Szechuan restaurants in Chinatown. The parking was easy and the staff was super friendly! We felt that we found the next Szechuan restaurant that we want to...
