We travel from Amarillo to the DFW area on a regular basis. The last two times that we've eaten at McDonalds on 287, the service has been horrible. The previous time we stopped was on May 26th for supper. It was busy but we noticed that the manager was working the front by himself while employees were goofing off behind him. In addition to working the counter, he was running around trying to solve customers issues. My husband who has worked in fast food chains in the past talked with him about how it was affecting service. We again stopped this morning ing, June 1st for breakfast. It was fairly busy, but we got our food fairly quickly, but they had made several mistakes on the order. When the associate brought our food, she just dropped it on our table and walked away. My daughter can't have dairy, so we had asked for no cheese on her breakfast burrito. They did catch that mistake right away and replaced it. However, I ordered the pancakes and sausage with coffee. I asked if I could have my coffee before my meal but was told they would bring it with my meal. My husband and daughter got their cups and got their drinks right away. When our meal arrived, they had left off the sausage and they didn't bring my coffee. My husband went up to get it fixed and had to wait quite a while and finally got the sausage. I didn't want his food to get cold so I stayed and finally told the same girl who brought our food that I hadn't received my coffee. Again, with the same attitude, just handed me the coffee without a word or an apology. I also asked for an extra syrup and again she gave me an attitude as if I was wasting her time. Also, a Spanish speaking family came up after we got our food and they were treated very rudely because the associate taking their order couldn't understand them because she didn't speak or understand Spanish. I also strongly think that the new kiosk ordering system as well as being able to use the app in addition to having people at the counter and drive through has mad service worse instead of better. There are too many ways of orders coming in and there doesn't seem to be enough properly trained staff available to be able to properly handle incoming orders and making sure that orders are correct. Even though we've been coming here for years, it's getting to the point that we don't want to come anymore. Not only could we feel the tension coming from the employees, we could see other customers watching and could tell they could feel the tension as well. My husband did speak to an assistant manager, but the main manager never came out to speak with hi . Just extremely disappointed and not really wanting to come...
Read moreThis is the absolute worst service I have ever gotten from any establishment in my life. I was stuck in a restroom stall that didn't lock for nearly 15 minutes waiting on an employee to bring toilet paper which one did after standing around talking with a coworker (could hear them just outside the door). When I finally emerged there was smoke in the building from something in the kitchen burning. Nobody did or said anything Nobody was taking orders or directing customers to use the kiosks so there was a herd of people just standing around and it was hard to move. It took 15 minutes to get our order. We were missing apple slices and sauces for our nuggets. I went to the counter and kept getting run over by a young lady who kept darting in and out of the kitchen despite telling customers "I'm off the clock. Can't help you!" (If you're off the clock, stay out of the kitchen!) There was no leadership in the kitchen. There were plenty of of employees in the kitchen. Visually I could see at least one person per "station" in there. There were like 3 different employees standing around that just kind of wandered between asking if people were waiting to order, yelling at someone in the back to come take orders, and standing around looking at everyone. One kid was filling up sodas for orders and then just setting them on the counter after quietly announcing the drink. There were easily a dozen different sodas of all kinds on the counter by the time I got help. When I asked for our sauces, I was told they would get me my apple slices, but they were too busy to grab the sauces. Tables in the dining area were FILTHY. Overall I'd give this McDonald's negative stars if I could. It's the worst McDonald's I've...
Read moreProbably one of the worst McDonalds I've ever been to - which is weird: I thought McDonalds were all pretty standard at this point.
Came inside while on the way home from a trip: used the bathrooms (which were disgusting, btw) and after using the bathroom, went up to the front to order. There was no one there and I waited for a few minutes before a woman came up apologizing that she was thirsty or something similar and had to get a drink. I ordered a cheeseburger and two large fries, paid and waited.
While waiting, I got to observe the overall service, which was incredibly disorganized and scattered. The woman who was taking orders was running between the counter and the back (rather than just communicating using headsets? That's what I used to do a Starbucks...so I have plenty of sympathy for those working fast food) - and because of that, she couldn't remember what people had ordered, interrupted people mid-order to go handle something in back, etc.
While on the way out, a mother with her children was complaining about 'cold fries' but we weren't sure what she meant until we got our food (which we had to retrieve from another customer. She just handed it to them without checking their number / receipt) and the fries were oily but also lukewarm and barely cooked at all. :s Literally awful. I have never - in my life - not finished McDonalds fries but neither myself, my sister, nor my wife could finish these. Not sure if they crowded the fryer or forgot to fry them fully / double but they were just awful.
0 / 10 - would not recommend. If you need to get food, anywhere else would be...
