Overall it was a decent visit, the owner/manager was very nice and personable. It's small inside so seating is limited but they do offer some outdoor seating. The parking situation is bad, especially when you get 3-4 larger vehicles, double parked cars, vans, trucks, suv, there is no space for anyone else to park. As far as food, I ordered the veggie omelet and it wasn't done all the way through in several spots and I didn't care for the turkey sausage links. The potatoes and pancakes were tasty though. They have a sign up stating they are short staffed, however as I mentioned to the owner/manager, I honestly could not tell they were understaffed as the wait time was no longer than anywhere else. Considering it is one of few restaurants on the island, their food selection is good if you're looking to dine out for breakfast.

My husband and I have been coming here for quite some time and we never been disappointed with the service and the food! The owners Connie and David have been very friendly and I feel go out of their way to accommodate you! When the busy season rolls in it can be a wait and this place can be short staffed so you have to be patient! It’s like that all over! I love the breakfast bowls and their flounder sandwich they had as a special! We also love the coffee in the large cups(my mom too)… so definitely put it on your list to come and eat! Great place to eat on the island!

We visited the Round-Up July 4th week and found the food to be delicious. They have some indoor and outdoor seating, and parking out front. No-frills kind of place with Saltwater Cowboy decor. The staff were super friendly and kind, and were severely understaffed which led to long waits and slow service, beyond their control. They were up front about this and had a sign posted outside that indicated this. If you plan to visit, pack your patience. We had the cheese steak omelet, veggie omelet, and a cheese omelet.. all served with fried potatoes and toast.

Unfortunately, the Beach Road Round-Up left much to be desired as it served us with only a bathroom stop and no food after an hour-long wait only to find that our order was "lost". In my opinion, we probably benefited from missing the food as we realized during our long wait how infested the place was with flies. We were disappointed with our server's level of neglect and how we did not receive any apology, offer for correcting his mistake, or much acknowledgment at all. We left disappointed and hungry, ready to eat more than ever after a long morning road trip. We refuse to let that ruin our July 4th weekend, and we refuse to assume the staff had any mal-intent, but we must recognize the many opportunities this server and restaurant have to improve. I hope that they take this feedback to (1) prioritize customer experience to meet bare minimum service standards and ensure customers are cared for always, and (2) maintain cleaner facilities and combat the fly problem.

Edit: Furthermore, the response from the owner is immature and accepts zero responsibility for the mishap which is why the service does not improve, as this seems to be a recurring pattern with visitors over the years. The owners were present in the front and could have easily observed that their biggest party had not been served for over an hour. And again, there is no apology. Mistakes happen, but own up to them and come out better. Thank you for your...

I was excited to try this place and support the local businesses of Chincoteague. I did not have a good experience. The ladies working were very apologetic so I will give credit where it is due. However, I went in to order a take out order. 2 sandwiches and some pancakes....nothing big. I was asked to give my name and number to wait in the car and would be called when it was ready....no problem. After I waited for 40 minutes I decided to go back in. They posted a sign on the door saying they closed temporarily. I was able to enter through the side door and they told me they were not taking orders because they were too busy....ok but I already ordered. They told me they hadn't even gotten close to making my order yet. I asked to cancel the order because I was headed out of town. No one knew how to do that and had to call someone to figure it out. After another 10-15 minutes I finally got my money back. They did offer to give me 20% off the next time I came in but considering they didn't remember me from when I placed my order 40 minutes prior, I am skeptical that I would be remembered when asking for a discount next time. I would recommend choosing a different restaurant...alot of your time will be wasted here and you will be given excuses like it's too hot or people don't want to work which is why we are short staffed....I'm sorry but that's not my problem. The business could...

We wanted to give this place a shot since it had good reviews and serves breakfast all day. We went on a Saturday, off season, and it wasn’t very busy being late morning. We counted about 6 people working at the time. We sat on the bench with the sign saying to wait for seating. A lady with dark hair (an owner, perhaps) passed by us many times and never said a word. After about 20 minutes of waiting, we were finally asked if we wanted a table. She cleared off a nearby table and motioned for us to sit there. We weren’t greeted, offered a drink, or even told someone would be with us shortly. About 5 minutes after sitting at the table, two older men came in, walked right up to the lady and started chatting. They were immediately seated and order taken. Still, no word for us or any indication she was coming back. After a few more minutes of waiting, we decided our business wasn’t wanted or needed, so we left. This was a disappointing experience for the first restaurant we tried on the island, in the shoulder season. Go somewhere else if you don’t want to be ignored.

Update We understand being short staffed, but my husband counted 6 different people either in the kitchen or going back and forth between the front and back of house. Also, the website says breakfast served all day, but the diner menu states it’s only served...
