When El Pollo Grill first opened it was great! Better than El Pollo Loco. The chicken was soft and tender, even the breast meat. The rice was perfectly seasoned and fluffy. The refired beans were the best I've ever had at any restaurant or taco shop (sometimes we would stop by just for the beans to make burritos at home). Yeah, they were that good.
They used to have a green salsa that was killer! I don't know what happened to it, but we kept asking for it and they eventually told us they weren't making it anymore after giving us a hard time for asking 🤨. The customer service went WAY down hill and we started to enjoy the place less and less with every visit. They would get our orders wrong sometimes and then the quality of the chicken was pretty bad at times. I don't know if they just needed to get rid of the chicken they had for a while and decided to sell it to who ever came in next, but it wasn't very consistent. For being a better knock off of El Pollo Loco, it should have stayed that way, but unfortunately it didn't. One day they would have something we liked, the next day it wasn't available. Or was taken off the menu forever? The employees weren't happy to have us and we agreed, we weren't happy with El Pollo Grill anymore either. We decided to go back to El Pollo Loco and were pleasantly surprised that they were exactly the way we remember. They even had the same green salsa as before. Yeah, the beans aren't as good as El Pollo Grills, but at least everything else was. Too bad it didn't work out. We really did like El...

My wife and 3 kids dined in here and got food poisoning from their rolled tacos, cali burrito and carne asada fries. Everything was fine until an hour later. We had to pull over because my wife felt sick and had to vonit. My older kids both went straight to the restroom because of stomach issues and even my toddler was crying all night from pain in her stomach. I immediately called the restaurant and was told to email my complaint and request for a refund. I received a response and in summary they refused to provide a refund because of their policies and having to go through insurance and only offered a voucher worth 50% of our order. They said I had to go to a doctor and provide proof that we did have food poisoning. This was never told to us but even if we did, traces of food poisoning would not be present by the time we got an appointment and at this point I don’t believe they would of even pay for the medical related costs for it which significantly exceeds the cost of our order. Apparently to them they have high standards and checked surveillance to ensure food was properly mad and no one else complained or returned their food. I really don’t understand this part because do cameras now a days show that food has no contamination or bacteria? Apparently something was missed leading to our food getting made because it wasn’t one of us that got sick and went through pain, it was all of us. We are frequent customers of EPG but now we will take our business elsewhere and...
Read moreSundays are amongst my favorite days to eat and have a relaxing lunch. We ventured off Birch toad to the mall because the mall here has a great vibe. The people come as all variety - with families, alone, or as couples. Since Covid it just feels so good to become alive again.
This is my first time here. Hubby said let's try it out. My son and I got the same thing. Yep you guessed it: FISH BURRITO!!! 🥰🥰 side of sour cream and guacamole to share. Yes the guacamole is REAL🥑, not emo or sour cream blend.
I ordered an Orange Bang drink (I love these!)😋 and my husband got the Half chicken D plate. Well, hello! Move aside KFC and El Pollo Loco here's your competition!! So yessssss!!! Everytime u order a Fish burrito at other places, right?? It's not grilled! Here, your food is freshly grilled! You got it! It's super tasty in flavor AND healthier! I was surprised at the generous size. Of course the salsa bar is a hit !🌶
You can order packaged chocolate empanada dessert or chunky chocolate chop cookies or frozen Popsicles of various flavors.
The patio was closed but it was OK, we got a corner table. The vibe is nice. In one section I think they had like 4 TV screens, and in the section we ate at, they had a TV screen too. It felt like a normal place, and not a sports bar vibe when we went even though u can get liquor here as well. Im guessing at the right season it transforms into a...
