What a gem of a place, off the beaten path in Cincinnati and well-worth seeking out. Pretty sure we tried all the savory crepes during multiple visits, plus the Yellowstone from the "sweet" side (thank you, Ryan!). Family-owned-and-operated business, great food, friendly folks who kept me safe with their knowledge of preparing and serving gluten-free food - which was most of the crepes without having to substitute (available with or without the gluten). Sorry, no gluten-free waffles, but with all the various crepes, I never needed one. Both Ryan and Reagan (separate visits) asked us about dairy also, so I had the impression there are dairy-free options to be enjoyed. The atmosphere is down-to-earth, and we enjoyed the snowy-mountainy-avalanchy theme and getting to know Reagan, Ryan, and Diana. This place is obviously a labor of love for Reagan and her family, and we absolutely plan to be back on our next trip to...

A warm ode to western mountain ski and cabin culture — waffles, nature, and community. The owners of Avalanche, Reagan and Ryan, are some of the most humble and hardworking people who could run a business, and do the job better than anyone could. Their waffles and crepes reflect directly with the casually cozy atmosphere they curate effortlessly — big portions, low prices, and diverse selection. The best tasting waffle and crepes you will have. Reagan and Ryan, along with the other staff, work hard to remember you, and help to make you feel connected every visit. With all considered, Avalanche will have you wanting to come back every morning, whether trying something new, or sticking to a personal favorite, you will always walk out feeling...

The food was absolutely amazing! There was a long wait, which would not have been bad if the seating was comfortable. The restaurant was very small for the traffic, which shows that there is quite a demand! Unfortunately, it can also be a deterrent. If you don't mind the discomfort or the long wait for your food, I HIGHLY recommend that you add this to your list of "Must Try" places. The crepes are beyond delicious! I would definitely love to see this restaurant grow with its clientele, so that it could move to a more appealing location. Discomfort should not overshadow the unique and superb delicacies that they are serving. Do yourself a favor and see for yourself. The food will...

I took my wife here for her birthday today. We had recently been to a similar place in Flint Michigan, the Flint Crepe Company, which was great. This place, the Avalanche, was even better still! Great atmosphere, even for a Sunday lunch. Great service from great people. And then there’s the crepes! Wow! My wife had “The Pioneer”, which corresponds with the Montecristo at the Flint crepe joint, and it was delicious. I had “The Avalanche “, the signature dish. It’s a rich, savory mix of eggs, bacon, chorizo, jalapeño, and country gravy. I highly recommend this family-owned restaurant. It really is a 5 out of 5. So go ahead, get in here!
