Terrible. We used to be regulars here, and now we'll never go back. I overheard a worker say that ownership changed recently, and it really showed in the worst way. Everything from the food, to the cleanliness, and the looks of the place just screamed "CHEAP!!" which is crazy when my fiance and I walked out with a $54 bill because you need 2 rolls for a full meal, and we had 1 appetizer. And I still find it odd that they keep doing the whole "$18 rolls, but everything is half off Monday-Sunday." Like just put them as $9 on the menu??? The online order prices are different anyways, so I don't get it.

Food: 🍤🍣

  1. Our shrimp tempura appetizer was $8 for 4 cheap, skinny, pieces. Worst of all, 2 of the shrimps had black gunk in the inside and tasted off and bitter. To their credit, we asked for 2 more as compensation, and they fired more that were fine. But even if they were perfect, the tempura is too mediocre and small for $8. The dipping sauce also tasted off and unpleasant. The 2nd dipping sauce they gave us with the 2 compensation shrimp pieces were a little better, so that tells me there is no consistency in the kitchen.
  2. I had the K.S. roll (2 orders. My pic was half eaten), and they were good. Nothing special, but just what I was craving. But they seem smaller than usual, and a few bites tasted stale & old. Like the panko/tempura breading was stale and old, or the seaweed on the inside. Really disappointing.

Service: 👨 Hampton was our server and they were great. Came by at the perfect times, polite, quick, friendly, and so on. It just peeved my fiancé and I when I (a woman) told him our bill will be together, and Hampton put it in front of my fiancé. When he came back with the receipt and my card after I kept hinting that I'm paying, he put them in front of my fiancé again, and seemed to talk to him about signing the receipt. Even though I kept giving the bill from my side and talking to the waiter. I thought I was just imagining it, but my fiencé agreed with me how that was weird.

Restaurant: 🏢 I liked the Christmas decor and the booth seating is fine. The bar is fine. The lighting was nice too. However,

  1. The women's bathroom was pretty gross and dirty. And the hand soap was like actual water that I wasn't sure if it was even soap. Clear, runny, barely soapy or bubbly.
  2. The toilet barely flushed, and the sink can get stuck and leak water. It was like so many things didn't really work properly.
  3. There were so many items and a whole bike blocking the emergency fire exit door by the toilets. That sort of stuff is a hazard and (I'm pretty sure) illegal.

We will no longer be going back, and we will no longer recommend this place to...

Went in on Sunday afternoon, during a quiet business hour to enjoy a drink, after having heard some good feedback about the bar service. There was not a host/hostess present to introduce seating, so sat at the bar. After about ten minutes, a hostess showed up and asked if I wanted a menu, to which I declined and asked for a bartender, explaining I was simply interested in having a drink. After being told a bartender was being fetched, I waited another ten minutes, during which I observed the MOD (manager on duty) bring in a couple of hairy dogs through the front door and into the dining space , upon which several of the wait staff stopped duties to commence petting and playing with the dog, before resuming work detail without washing hands.

While continuing to await service, I observed that there was grime on the floor behind the bar counters and the counters themselves were not wiped down, being greasy and used chopsticks scattered on the eating surface. After over twenty minutes, I hailed the MOD who suggested that I check in at the front to be served.

Having worked in the culinary and service industry for over a decade, I find Mr. Sushi to be absolutely appalling. Do not eat here. If the poor service and potential staphylococcus from dog hair and unclean counters doesn't poison you, the demeaning attitude of the...

The waitress gave me a panic attack by the time I walked out of there. She was just mean and very clear that she wasn't happy to be serving me or anyone for that matter. Every time I've gone to lunch there since discovering it last month it's been awesome, but dinner tonight was seriously awful. And I'm not even including waiting forever to be seated and then to get my drinks. Or the disgusting margarita, that literally tasted like cheap tequila and ice. The guy managing the place and new trainee girl were super nice though, and the trainee made me a really good sour fish bowl that looked cool and tasted good. And I still think their Sunday morning rolls are great. I'm not usually one to be affected that deeply by random people and a, pretty understanding but I don't think I'll ever go back because of how bad the experience was from the chick with purple hair (Morgan?) Who waited on me and then she was sitti mg there staring me down and laughing with two other people that worked there right after the manager left my table. I've never felt so uncomfortable and just wanted to get tf outta there as quick as possible. Go to the downtown location, it's classy and friendly staffed, if you're looking for a nice atmosphere and...

I do not understand why this restaurant isn't always crowded. It has a spacious dining room and bar with an upscale appearance but the staff great you like a friend and are friendly and attentive. The waitress Bella provided the attention I would expect from a 5 star restaurant and was very helpful. Give her a raise before you lose her to Jeff Ruby! I ordered an Alaskan roll and goyza. The roll came out first and the rice was warm and the raw salmon melted in my mouth, very fresh. The avocado was perfectly ripe at that moment. The goyza followed shortly and had to have been made fresh in house that day and lightly fried to order because it was very tender and flavorful compared to any other places I've ordered it. When I got my check I found out their sushi is always half priced too!
