We went when it was very busy, party of 2, had a short wait along with several other customers. Parking could be an issue but they do have a lot nearby dedicated for their customers though it needs to be better maintained. They seemed to be short staffed and were training a couple new hires while we were there. The manager on duty was working on the floor and it kind of seemed like he hadn't much experience with that but his few servers were great and picked up his slack without it being too noticeable. He honestly should have left the floor and got out of their way but I appreciate that he was willing to work alongside his employees. Even though they were swamped and short staffed our food came out very quickly, was made exactly how we wanted, looked great and the taste was perfection. We weren't very needy and didn't ask for any extras but the staff anticipated everything and even got refills before we asked. They didn't have a whole lot of time to be very personable but I'm definitely not upset about it as they were super friendly, great at their jobs and didn't make us feel like we were a burden when they were so busy. The only kind of complaint I have is that extra parking lot is a bumpy disaster and would be very hard for somebody with mobility issues...
Read moreThis was a must to do in Clifton from what I heard, so went and tried it. The place is cozy, clean, and nice. Personnel was very kind with a smile to offer at all times. They have a drink menu with a variety of alcoholic beverages and Coca-Cola company beverages for nonalcoholic beverages (I am including a picture of the menu). Options to eat include salad, calzone, and pizza. They have already established pizza or you can build your own. you can also make a half-and-half pizza, meaning you can have two different types in just one pizza. I tried that and had a pizza half don Corleone and half Porky fig without onions. They have spicy, salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese on the table to add.
Don Corleone was better for me. Pizza sauce is a bit sweet, and pepperoni was a little spicy so I feel like they taste good together.
With the Porky fig pizza, I had the impression that it tasted a lot more sweet than the other one and kind of related that to it having originally caramelized onions. I Don't know, maybe because of the spice on the other and this one having no spice at all, you can taste a lot more of the sweet taste of the sauce.
The price is ok. We had a 13" pizza, 8 slices, and drinks.
So, I would say it's a yes to go while...
Read moreThis place has some pretty awesome pizza. You can go with something fancy and unusual like Socrates Revenge, or something simple like pepperoni - either way you're gonna be impressed. They also feature a seasonal pizza that's usually worth trying. And, of course, there's also create your own, which gives you a million different toppings and even choice of sauce.
They also have out-of-this-world salads! About eight years ago, I hated salads. They were bland and sometimes even yucky. But then I tried Dewey's Grape and Candied Walnut and my life was changed. You also have the option of adding chicken to any salad. Also, I can't remember the name of the seasonal salad that's on the menu in the fall, but it's pretty fantastic - bacon, figs and Boursin cheese.
It's usually worth asking what they have for dessert because each location has something different based on what sweet places are nearby. On my most recent visit, they had carrot cake from The Bonbonnerie.
On my most recent trip home I visited this location twice in the same week. Both times we had very...
