Ninja Grill Japanese & Hibachi Express — Restaurant in Cincinnati

During COVID times, finding good takeout is HUGE! 2 YUMS waaay up for my first takeout order from this place. I've found a new Asian takeout that I really enjoyed. I cannot speak to the overall experience as someone else in our family was the designated pickup.

The dish I had was truly delicious. This is a "chipotle" style ordering restaurant. You get to pick your protein, 5 veggies and rice or noodles and sauce. I did sample a couple of the other dishes and they each were tasty. However, I hit it out of the park with this combo- see pic.

I chose the lo mein noodles. Then added steak as my protein. For my veggies, I had carrots, broccoli, zucchini, mushroom and onions. For my protein, Ali ordered steak. And finally, I ordered the Mongolian sauce. It just all worked so well.

The sauce covered the entire entree so the noodles, veggies and meat all felt like they were marinated in the sauce. And the dish had a fantastic flavor of sweet and savory.

I'm looking forward to expanding beyond this one dish but I will definitely be getting...

I just had the WORST experience at your location. We decided to eat here for the first time today because we know other people who like the place. We ordered lunch and waited an HOUR for it. Then the chef stated they were out of squid, which my husband ordered. Upon learning this he asked for scallops and he was told he had to pay extra. We should have been told an hour prior that they were out. You don't make a customer pay for your mess up. We demanded our money back. Seeing that they were going to lose $40 on the other food that was already made they then wanted to rectify the situation by saying they would not charge him extra. So they pissed off a customer who just dropped $40 for fast food hibachi and then want them to stay.... no way. It was our first time there and we will never be back and will tell anyone we know not to EVER go there. If sO could give zero...

After taking several Bites I found what seem to be small rock pebbled or metal shavings. I called to explain the matter but was offered a 5 dollar credit otherwise I have to drive all the way back down to Clifton in order to receive full refund. It was a bad experience but it seem they didn’t seem to care l. My second issue is the cleanliness of the prep around the food. How did metal shavings/rock pebbles get into our food. I will not be eating there anymore and take it as a loss. They should be more diligent to their customers food and more understanding. The manager didn’t seem to care and I even told him I will be putting a bad review and he didn’t seem to care. CUSTOMERS!!!! Please be aware of this kind of attitude with this organization.
