UPDATE 2: Updating to 3 stars because they refunded my order. I appreciate it! :) UPDATE: Updating to 2 stars because I got my food, eventually. 30 mins after writing this review. I appreciate the other worker who drove out to help the delivery guy out. Again, the food is great. Just pick it up!!
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I want to start off by saying I've never written a bad review in my entire life. I was a service worker and I know how hard it is – I always give people the benefit of the doubt. But I would not recommend getting delivery from here (the food is good, so just PICK UP!!!!)
I ordered delivery because it was literally snowing outside, and I was feeling sick. I told them to text me when they got here and I would quickly run outside to get the food. Instead, they called, saying they were outside. That's fine. But when I went outside they weren't there. I call back, and apparently he was at the wrong address. Simple mistake, right? So I tell him the right address and even text it to him to make it easier for maps apps. He says he'll be there in 2 mins. So I wait outside.
10 mins goes by. It's freezing, so I call back and he again, asks for my address. I ask him where he is so I can give instructions. Instead, he talks over me and tells me that he will be there in 2 mins. I go inside my building to stop shivering and wait by the door.
10 mins later, I call the restaurant asking for a real timeline. I tell them I can't keep waiting outside in the literal snow??? They say "he'll be there in 2 mins." 10 mins goes by. I call the dude again. He asks for my address again and says 2 mins. The call drops. I try calling back but the number says I'm blocked (?!). His friend (?) calls and says "2 mins." At this point, I don't believe them so I go back upstairs. They call again and assure me they are OUTSIDE.
So I go outside.
Nowhere. I tell them there is literally a parking lot next door for them to pull into. They are all over the place, telling me my street is "dark" (I'm in the city!??!?! In a well-lit area???). They say "2 mins" and refuse to tell me where they are. I wait outside for another 10 mins.
This happens a 3rd time. I call the restaurant again. They say "2 mins." At which point, nearly in tears, I tell them I can't wait outside any more and to forget it. I wasted an HOUR just trying to get my food, 30 mins of which was in literal freezing temperatures. And I never even got my food.
Again, I never write reviews. I give people the benefit of the doubt, always. But this was so ridiculous and unnecessarily so, that there is so excuse. My address comes up in all maps apps. All of them. All I wanted was an accurate timeframe and to know where they were so I could help them find my apartment?? I tried everything but it didn't work. I wouldn't trust these guys to deliver anything again, tbh. I gave a delivery tip for this???? They just kept talking over me and telling me they were outside....
Read moreABSOLUTELY THE BEST For many years, a good friend of mine and I would eat at different Indian restaurants, casually searching for the best possible one. We settled on one for about a year, and then one day he told me "You won't believe it, I found something better." We ate at Adeep once, and for the last 10+ years I have been constantly coming back, eating my favorite dish (Chicken Tikka Masala: spice level 6). Their other dishes are very good, but I constantly go back to the Tikka Masala. The sauce, the rice, the garlic naan, the combination is so unbelievably perfect, I want to cry when I finally get to eat it again (I live out of the country, and I only get to eat here once or twice a year). I like to buy a half gallon of milk across the street at a little carry out mini-mart and drink that along with the food (They offer free cups for water). The food is still great when you warm it up a day or two later, but it's best eaten there at the restaurant. If I was going to die and I had to choose my last meal, hands down, with zero hesitation I would get the Chicken Tikka Masala. When I go back to South America I tell my friends about this restaurant, and each time I come back I wonder "is it really as good as I remember it?" and it ALWAYS is. This is the definition of a legendary hole-in-the-wall restaurant. It looks unassuming from the outside, but the food is S-Tier. Perfection. (NOTE: You can also order the tikka masala sauce to go WITHOUT the chicken. We always eat at the restaurant itself and get two orders of the sauce and then freeze them. You can afterwards supply your own chicken and...
Read moreAs mentioned in some other reviews, you can expect to receive about 97% sauce and about 3% shredded chicken, especially if you order the tikka masala. I don’t know about you, but $14 buck for sauce and rice seems like a “rip off” to me. Literally, I can get more chicken from a can of Cambell’s chicken noodle soup.
Also, as mentioned in previous reviews, the Customer Service is lacking a TON. They seem very unappreciative of their customers for being a little hole in the wall joint.
Lastly, although the list could go on, my final complaint is that I literally drove from Indianapolis (over 2 hours) to take my family to dinner. I had just missed their “lunch hour”, which means that naan is not served with your food free of charge. I asked if they would make an exception since I drove so far and spent $75 and these folks said “no” and wanted $4.50 per naan, RIDICULOUS!
You should never say “never”, but I have no plans to ever support this business again and I encourage anyone who wants the most value for their money, to avoid this ungrateful place as well. You’ll regret it, if your...
