The food was amazing and the restaurant was nice and cozy. Hostess and the owner were super nice and very open to explaining how the stone bowl is prepared and eaten to what was in the red bottle that housed the Korean red pepper paste sauce. The women's restroom was super cute and clean. I wish I had my phone with me to show. The entrance hallway on the right had an area to sing karaoke and I believe the activity was mentioned on the menu. The exterior of the restaurant was like going into a building that would be featured in a Korean Drama. The warm sake was very flavorful compared to other restaurants we normally order from. Prices were well worth the experience, quality of cooking, and hospitality. Stone Bowl is definitely worth a visit. My husband and I have seen this restaurant since Madtree moved locations and we have always been curious to try but the time was already planned to be specifically at Madtree. Definitely visit this Korean gem if you like Asian cuisine. The Bibimbap is to die for and the bowls warmed our bellies hours after eating in the best way. My husband and I will definitely be coming back next time we are in the area or plan for a special trip to celebrate any more future anniversaries.

My husband and I went on a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains, and since we love Korean food, we looked up several places and eventually chose Stone Bowl Korean. I normally don’t write reviews, but I truly want to recommend this place. Although we only saw the owner working alone today, his warm hospitality and thoughtful service really impressed me. The menu was simple—perhaps due to the limited staff—and mainly focused on hot stone bibimbap. But the owner was very professional and even guided us on how to properly mix the bibimbap before eating. Since my husband enjoys hot soup, he was a bit disappointed when he saw that the menu didn’t include any soups. Surprisingly, the owner kindly made a special spicy seafood potato tofu soup just for us—it was absolutely delicious, and we finished every last drop. The owner’s cooking skills and friendly service left a lasting impression. We’re truly grateful for his hospitality!

This place is a hidden gem. The food is steeped in authenticity and the folks working there are super passionate, knowledgeable, and welcoming about the history and culture of their food. A lot of times, experiencing new foods and cuisines is intimidating, but the gentleman who took care of me was all about providing the full experience, patiently educating me on the history of Korean food and culture, and how the different flavors worked together and augmented one another. I got the chicken stone bowl, which was incredible, especially paired with gochujang and roasted seaweed. Savory and a bit crunchy thanks to the cabbage and toasted rice, it tasted like a warm welcome home after a long day The interior is warm clean, humble, and accommodating. I look forward to returning and exploring more!

Cool place, “The Best Healthy Delicious Korean foods Restaurant ever!”

I stayed at my relatives' house for a month in January and went to this restaurant often. At least 5 times! This restaurant is my best favorite restaurant in Ohio! The food here is very clean, healthy and delicious. The amount of food is also very good enough to eat. I ate most of the menus here. My favorite menu is the stone bowl bibimbap of course! I was fortunate to be able to choose from a variety of ingredients:) This restaurant does not use MSG for food but uses only natural seasoning. Stock and sauce were also developed, and gluten-free foods made me healthy. The chicken was also very good, and roast beef was one of my favorites too. I was very sad because I did not have sushi when I went, but I heard that sushi is good quality of fish and very delicious.

And you can take some Korean Traditional Tea in here too! I love that when i eat some foods in here with tea:) It makes me feel fresh lol

Ramen also presents a new world of taste! Vegetable ramen is also the best. If you are a vegetarian or have allergies to the outside food, choose this place unconditionally! This place is very suitable for them.

Some of the visitors said here are a bit expensive, but I think this is the right and reasonable price. Their efforts in food are enormous!

Employees are educated, very kind, and the boss always receives a lot of feedback from the customer. The food was very beautifully decorated and the atmosphere of the restaurant was feel Korea, Traditional and very pretty.

I sometimes visited here with my nephews, they are kids, and I was fortunate to be able to treat healthy and delicious food to my children. The kids really like dumplings too!

The restaurant also has a very good atmosphere and food to serve dinner to somebody. I invited my friends from time to time to have dinner together, and my friends liked this restaurant very much. But if you have more than 4 people I think you need a reservation.

If I have a chance to go back to Ohio Cincinnati, I will return to this place unconditionally! Thank you!

P.s I think I am not good at taking...

I had a fantastic experience at Stone Bowl. For first time customers, you should know that Stone Bowl is a respected and quality location for Korean food. The experience for me was without waiters, so guests seated themselves, had access to a call button that would summon the chef himself, and could order over a QR code menu. There is a little sign at the entrance that explains this, but I was a tad confused. For this reason, I gave it 4/5 stars for Service, but overall I am a total introvert and found that the chef came out to make sure I was served properly and with care. He's a very nice man so I definitely recommend getting over yourself if you have a problem with this system.

I was not used to Korean so I had dumplings, noodles, and my new favorite drink Soju. The owner regularly came to my table, mostly because it was slow due to pre-dinner rush, and even offered me some free chicken wings to taste test. The food was incredible and worth the experience. The environment is Korean-decorated but everything is in English for non-Korean guests. If you are looking for an authentic Korean restaurant in the Cincinnati area, I recommend Stone Bowl above everyone else.

For the owner, I'd make a small recommendation, and that's to provide more clear instructions to visitors about the process. Hiring a graphic designer to create some localized print materials for display could help this a lot, and also providing a QR code to the website for clear instructions would be best. People expect a server to seat them, so in lieu of that I'd recommend very big and obvious instructions for guests.

However, if you read my review, you already know. I recommend it. I seriously am questioning why I didn't go out for Korean more often, and Stone Bowl isn't far from where I live, so I will be...

GO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT IMMEDIATELY!

Pros - Incredibly friendly staff, great prices, FANTASTIC food. When I say this is the best Ramen within 50 miles of Cincinnati, I mean it - and it's not even close. Tonight I had the Korean Pork Ramen. The meat was so tender and flavorful and literally fell off the bone. Don't even get me started on the broth....I could bathe in it if they let me.

Then, we had Korean Fried Chicken....these are the crispiest and juiciest wings I've ever had at an Asian cuisine. You could literally hear the crunch of the perfectly fried wing, paired with incredible Korean BBQ sauce. Typing this out legitimately makes me want more, and I typically don't do fried food.

As for the service, the gentleman who took care of us tonight was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and prompt. Our food was out fresh and fast. He even recommended us to scoot the table away from the wall since we had a toddler with us. They way we could safely eat our hot food without any risk of spillage or the little one trying to reaching for it. Fantastic service all around.

Cons - Relatively small parking lot. Yes, this is literally the only con I could think of, and it's not even that bad to be completely honest.

So let me say this, if you haven't been there yet (or you have and it's been a while) it's time to hop in your car and get over there. Right in the heart of Oakley, near madtree and Crumble (beer and cookies afterwards anyone?) And to be honest we drove 30 miles to get there and I'll be doing it again next week. Absolutely a must have, and a hidden gem...
