Great atmosphere but the staff is rude and frequently kicks people out before close, literally had to beg to go to the bathroom (that had no toilet paper) because they literally locked the door from the patio to the building and it was 15 minutes before close. I def get wanting to get home but kicking out people who expected to get time to sober up & haven’t even finished their drinks before leaving is a little crazy to me esp when it’s 2:10 and y'all don’t close for another 20 minutes. Also giving attitude when being asked for clear answers about what “you need to leave soon” means when you’ve stated you’re closing early and it’s 2:10 is also crazy. What is closing early when you close at 2:30 & it’s only 20 minutes until that time? Is that 5 more minutes? 10? I feel like that’s a valid question that should be met with clarity not entitlement about how tired you are and how dead you are and how you deserve to go home. Additionally, when we got there they weren’t making mixed drinks/cocktails (2 hours before they closed) because it was “too much”. Even though the last time we were here at the same time they were still making them. It’s giving laziness. I don’t just get to leave my job because I want to go home and I don’t get to not perform the duties of my job because I don’t feel like it. People expect you to work your business hours & perform the duties of your job. The staff was also extremely rude about it vs apologizing which was weird to me, if you’re short staffed or running on low cylinders that’s fine just communicate & apologize for not meeting your own standards/the expectations that you set. Please improve your...
Read moreTable service was disappointing. Went around 4:00 on a Saturday for a late lunch/early dinner. The place was not very busy and we sat at a high top table in the front of the restaurant by the main bar. Server came over for drink order. We ordered food for the 4 of us. After the food order was in, there was no additional service. Food sat at the kitchen lamp for a few minutes before anyone bothered to bring it to our table. A side order was wrong, asked to correct it. Said they would bring it out shortly. Never came out and no one came over to ask if we needed anything else. I watched a group of bartenders (3-4 of them) huddle behind the bar and chat and drink amongst themselves. Felt like we were not valued. Should have taken my money and time elsewhere. The clientele appears to be young adults who care about hanging with their young professional friends.
It's fine for this place to be the way it is, but it would take a lot to get me to step back into this...
Read moreWe went for the happy hour deals that they advertised on their Instagram, website, and even on a physical sign outside their venue. However, what they charged did not match the advertised deals. When we tried to correct the final bill, they refused to correct it and said that "it was worded poorly", even though it clearly said $2 off domestic beer and $2 off drafts. It ended up costing us $7 more than it should have. Which, I know for some may not be a lot, but for students specifically choosing a place for their advertised deals, for them not to be honored feels wrong. It just felt like some sly false advertising...
Ultimately, the right thing to do would've been to honor the advertised deals since they were indeed actively advertised in multiple places. And if they did in fact intend to update these deals, they would also need to update them in all the places in which they were being advertised to stop misleading people and fix the false...
