I’ve now given this restaurant two chances, and both times I left feeling taken advantage of. The first time, I ordered pasta and was served what was clearly a half portion, just five small ravioli, but was charged for a full size. The menu clearly states the full size is supposed to serve 2 people. When I questioned it, the server insisted it was the full portion, which was ridiculous since it would be 2.5 raviolis per person. I ended up paying full price for half the food, as the waitress was not willing to change the bill.
I decided to give them another try and returned with a coupon for a free pizza, only to find out they no longer serve pizza. I was told I could use the coupon for pasta instead. I made it very clear to the server that I only wanted what was covered by the coupon. One staff member told me I could choose either a full or half size, so I double-checked with my actual server. She wasn’t sure, so I asked her to please confirm and just bring me what was included with the coupon. She ended up bringing me a full portion of pasta and then charged me for half. When I pointed out that I had been very clear about only wanting what was covered by the coupon, she admitted it had “slipped her mind.” After checking with her coworker, she told me I still had to pay for 25% of the dish—even though it was her mistake. Both visits left me frustrated. Not only were the bills inaccurate, but when I tried to resolve the issues, the staff refused to correct them. Between the lack of transparency, poor communication, and unwillingness to take accountability, I cannot...
Read moreI read an article on CityBeat that there would be new restaurant opening up and thought it would be a good spot for lunch. My initial though was that the restaurant had a nice, retro/modern look to it. Good options when it comes to alcohol choices. When it comes to the menu, I'm not sure if they will expand their cocktail menu (since it was opening day) but as of right now there are only 3 choices, plus mocktails and beer. I am not going to judge too hard on the service as opening days can get hectic, i was one of the first few in so the service was fast and then it started to become slower as more people came in. (I will make a note, it was mentioned in couple articles that if you came in for lunch on opening day, you would receive a coupon for a free pizza on future visit, but even after asking about it to my server, I never got one...so is that fake advertisement?) In addition, I also was not able to take home my pizza dips that I paid for because they didn’t have any small containers which was unfortunate. Food came out pretty quick and it was pretty delicious, just wish the undercarriage of the pizza had more time to cook to get that real fire wood taste, basil was a nice touch. My favorite dish was the Beef Carpaccio, it had a really good balance of sweet and salty with uniquely crafted chips. In my opinion it is a little bit pricey for what you get, especially if you want add dips and toppings...
Read moreWe went on their grand opening day since we were in the area. We ordered a mocktail, a pizza, a pasta entree and some dessert.
Service here was super friendly and surprising fast for it being their first day open. Their pizza and tiramisu were the stand out menu items for us. Their tiramisu was served in a chilled glass cup and was perfectly sweet. You could really taste the coffee without it being too strong or bitter. For the pizza, we got a classic with added pepperoni and ranch on the side. They have a huge wood fire oven behind their bar so we got to watch it being made. It was crispy around the edges with light sauce which is exactly how I like my pizza. I wish their caesar salad had a little more dressing on it, it was pretty dry and left you wanting something more. The ravioli was delish and buttery, I would love to come back to try their cacio e pepe.
Overall, the restaurant was super cute and not too big. Service was good and food was good. I will come back in a couple months once they settle in a...
