Starbucks Corporate Office Attention: Customer Relations 2401 Utah Avenue South Seattle, WA 98134
Dear Starbucks Customer Relations,
I am writing to express my profound concern and disappointment regarding an incident that occurred at your Madison and Sunrise location, managed by Ms. Carey Boyer, on November 14, 2023, at approximately 5:31 AM.
During this visit, there was an error with my order, which was prepared with almond milk instead of soy. Due to my allergy to almonds, I requested a correction. Regrettably, the response from Ms. Boyer was not only unhelpful but also disturbing. Her dismissive and confrontational behavior, coupled with a smile that suggested she found the situation amusing, was particularly distressing.
Moreover, Ms. Boyer's decision to threaten to call the police over this simple issue was alarming and disproportionate, particularly concerning as an African American aware of the potential risks of such situations. This action was both intimidating and unnecessary.
Additionally, her offer to remake my drink after sneezing into the handheld blender displayed a troubling disregard for basic sanitary standards, especially given the current health climate.
This experience is disconcerting, especially considering Starbucks' commitment to diversity and inclusion. Despite the company's efforts in training employees to understand and respectfully treat people of all cultural and racial backgrounds, it seems that some individuals are not applying these principles effectively. This incident starkly contradicts the values that Starbucks claims to uphold.
As a 51-year-old loyal customer, I have always appreciated Starbucks for its service and quality. However, this incident has significantly altered my perception of your brand. In light of these events, I believe that the manager, Ms. Carey Boyer, should be immediately terminated due to her inappropriate and unprofessional behavior. Additionally, it is imperative that your employees are given additional training to understand when and how to step in to defuse such situations effectively.
I am willing to provide all details of the incident and thus await your response. I trust that this matter will be taken seriously and addressed to prevent similar future occurrences. I look forward to your response and am eager to learn about the actions Starbucks plans to take regarding this complaint.
Thank you for your attention to this serious...
Read moreAvoid this Starbucks at all costs, I ordered iced shaken oat milk espresso without ice, this drink had been my regulars for the last two years. I was denied the drink citing Starbucks policy that it’s a safety hazard, yes you read it right. It’s not about the denial but the way it was denied, the girl that called her self the supervisor was loud as hell and rude. Starbucks made menus for the customers and Starbucks survives because of the customers. This supervisor had the audacity to tell me that she works for Starbucks, not the customers. I guess the young blood has a lot to learn. I’ll avoid this place at all costs. I think the way Starbucks starting to behave, I should boycott them altogether. In this case, it’s not about the fact that they couldn’t make the drink but how they handled the situation was below poor levels of customer service. If a customer orders your menu item, it’s not the customers fault, even if it is - you need to see how to solve the problem not yell and scream at the customer for being loyal. I guess this is the new “Union” face of Starbucks...
Read moreAs much as I try to give this place a better review with my orders I can only say I'm thankful for when they do get it right. However, this particular Starbucks has gotten my order wrong more than four times with a very bad customer service in a previous order. Which almost makes you wonder if each time you pay with a card if it tells you the history of the customers order and complaints to make them treat you bad or get your order wrong for having to provide a feedback to Starbucks regarding the place. It becomes frustrating when you are towards the middle of your drive when you find out the taste of your drink isn't what you ordered or they give you the wrong size to your order. To the barista's who are truly good barista's that provide good customer service you are amazing please continue doing what you do in anything and to those who really do not care in the quality they provide of customer service imagine going through the service you give?! It wouldn't feel good in anything you do in life with that type of quality of...
