Bob's Mountain Grocery Inc — Restaurant in City of Beacon

Of you haven't stopped at Bob's for a breakfast sandwich, you don't know what you are missing!

Walking through the front door is like stepping back in time. This place definitely has an old world charm to it.

What we really need to talk about though are the breakfast sandwiches. The bread is so light, soft, absolutely fresh, and delicious. Eggs have just the right amount of salt and pepper to give them flavor without being overwhelming. The sausage is tasty as well.

All in all, this is the perfect place to stop for a quick breakfast sandwich. Bonus if you have a few minutes, there are some park benches just across the street where you can sit and enjoy that sandwich and an amazing view...

They tend to be busy almost every time I stop in. But that's a sign that people have a reason to be there. The food is quite good. It's a neat little store kind of off by itself. It's by no means perfect. But for the most part it's decent food at a fair price. Yeah certain things could be improved. But for the most part a good little store worth a try. They also have the parking area for Mt. Beacon right next door. So you get a lot of traffic for the hikers as well. Not a bad thing. I meant it more for folks spending time at Mt. Beacon. I placed on order for pick and it would be ready in 20 min. Since it was around lunchtime i came in a little on the “later” side (25min) to pick up my order. When i came in the lady behind the counter said it wasn’t ready yet. After almost 20 min, my order was finally ready. It took them 45 min to make 2 sub sandwiches!!!!!!2 On top I’ve never received the complimentary potato/ macaroni salad. It would have been nice if they gave an apology or update giving while I was waiting. If you’re spending $40 on 2 sandwiches you would expect a...
