The Chocolate Studio — Restaurant in City of Beacon

Horrible people. I went in today around 3:45 to buy some desserts. The hours posted said that they are open until 6:00 PM. A middle-aged woman attempted to slam the door in my face claiming that they were closed and that I should read the sign. First of all, the door was wide open before I even entered the store, secondly, the sign wouldn’t be visible unless the door was completely closed--which it wasn’t. Again, why do you have the door to your business wide open if you're closed? She then proceeded to tell me that someone near them tested positive for COVID-19, and then closed the door in my face. If they want to close early or close temporarily for whatever reason, that is fine. However, you don’t close the door in a potential customers’ face and then condescendingly tell them to “read the sign” when you have the front door wide open. I have been coming here on a regular basis to support a local business, but now, I will never buy anything from here again. Just unnecessarily rude, nasty, and mean. I hope no one else encounters this...

This place nearly brought a tear to my eye the flavors were so good.

As an old school Italian, I am particular about my Italian ice. There is only one real flavor - lemon - and the chocolate studio does it incredibly well. The pieces of lemon and light sugar reminded me of the ices the guy used to serve out of a barrel on a street corner in Boston’s North End way back in the day. The owner is Italian so she knows what she’s doing. Like I said, I almost wept.

The vegan ice cream was equaling inspiring. Never have I ever had mint chocolate chip made with fresh mint out of someone’s garden, and now I never want to go back to the regular kind. The texture was perfect, as was the amount of sugar.

There were vegan gluten free donuts and chocolate and it was overwhelming and hard to tear myself away with so many choices.

We took a walk into the chocolate studio and were overjoyed by the amount of vegan desserts AND vegan ice cream. Once we had the chance to eat them we were already back home in Jersey City and the taste was incredible. The staff was SUPER nice and we loved the pumpkin whoopie pie, almond raspberry tart cookie, chocolate cheesecake, and raspberry oatmeal bar. They also have plenty of gluten-free options and I can't recommend this place enough. Thanks...
