This is actually my first time writing a food review on Google Reviews so take what you will about that. Tara Indian and Middle Eastern Fusion Cuisine was an amazing lunch spot for me and my boyfriend. We ordered one chicken platter and one hummus platter. As a native Queens resident, the price of this place might seem a little higher than the traditional halal cart experience, but I can assure you that you're getting really good food with great ingredients and flavor in comparison to those carts. The chicken platter did not feel heavy at all, and the hummus tasted fresh in comparison to the store bought ones. My boyfriend, who considers himself a chicken over rice connoisseur also really enjoyed the meal - the portion was large so we actually shared a platter which worked well for us. Tara is also really friendly and so enthusiastic, I could tell that she enjoyed what she was doing and her presence was king of infectious in the food hall. I highly recommend supporting her business, the food is good, and she was just a really awesome person. The hall itself was pretty quiet when we visited on a Friday afternoon, so if you're looking for calm I recommend stopping by then? I can imagine it gets packed during the weekends. There were also other vendors located inside, as well as two bathrooms which were kept quite clean.

Today I tried Tara's restaurant and I feel like I found a hidden gem! The staff were incredibly kind and presented me with a delicious meal that was packed full of flavor. I tried the chicken salad, naan bread, and rice. I enjoyed it so much that I left there planning on what I would want to try next time. You definitely should check them out if you are in the area and if you are good with a little spice, ask for the green sauce! 😋 *Note: The three stars for atmosphere isn't a reflection of Tara's restaurant but the Hudson Valley Food Hall. The bathrooms aren't maintained the best (water all over the floor), the hall should consider providing trays for guests (helps to transport food & keep tables more clean), and there should be staff to bus tables as the chefs can not leave when they are cooking for guests.*

Just amazing! The owner is so sweet. You can tell everything is made with love.. they hand rolled the chicken samosas right after we ordered which were so delicious. We also got the beef and rice platter and it was a great portion for the price (I had plenty of leftovers for the next day). This was also made totally fresh after ordering. Amazing flavors. Worth every penny!

Tara Fusion is a small food stand inside the Hudson Valley Food Hall with AMAZING fresh and creative food!! We ordered two samosas just to snack on as we were looking at all the other stalls, and what we received was anything but ordinary!!! The samosas were freshly fried, beautifully plated, and seasoned perfectly. Miles away from your typical Indian takeaway! We loved the samosas so much, we bought another round (and two more for our friends) and ordered the chicken gyro for dinner. While a Greek gyro with Indian flavors may seem unusual, it was a perfect fit — the chicken was nicely spiced, and the tzatziki was almost like a raita. We chatted with the chef (a culinary school graduate from India), who was incredibly kind to us. We can’t wait for her to open her...
