Our experience was less than satisfactorily. Normally I don’t give reviews however, for the moderately high price of this restaurant it was far from what I expected.
We were seated and given a menu, no wine list was included and a dessert menu was never presented at any time either. When ordering we we’re told they apologized because they were out of bread. Next a waitress dropped someone’s meal in front of our table and it sat on the floor in front of us for quite a while. I ordered the ravioli and was told the serving size was 5 per order. There was an option for meatballs or sausage but was told I could only get one or the other as opposed to one of each. My raviolis came and the waitress informed me she must have been mistaken because there were only 4 per order now.
The most upsetting fact though was the preparation of the food. I feel if you’re going to price and present yourself as a fine dining establishment, you should at least stay clear of frozen food products. The ravioli were undeniably frozen! Another important factor would to use ovens instead of microwaves. Our plates were so hot they were untouchable for quite a long time. It’s also a telltale sign your meal was microwaved when the inside was piping hot and the outside was still cold and underdone. My friend order the Chicken Alfredo and the chicken was rubbery, dry and void of any taste, or flavor due to its perpetration.
The only saving grace was our Host Anthony and besides taking what seemed like forever to cash us out our waitress wasn’t bad either. In the end though, I feel I’d have been much further ahead if I had simply stopped at 711 and...
Read moreThe food was disgusting. The filet smelled and tasted rotten. When we arrived it took 10 minutes for someone to come over and take our drink order. Not only did she forget my husband’s drink, but she gave me a Diet. It took so long for her to come the first time that my husband went to the lobby bar to get me a regular Pepsi faster. We didn’t get bread for another 10 minutes and never got oil with it. When our dinners arrived, there was immediate concern based on the look of it. The waitress blamed the chef’s Italian cooking style — which allegedly is boiling steak instead of pan searing or any other normal method. This was not a marinated steak. It was either spoiled or the marinade the steak was boiled in was spoiled. They took the steak off the bill, but the way we were told was sort of condescending: “I paid for it”, the manager said. Seemed odd. Overall awful experience. Don’t waste your...
Read moreWow! I don't usually make reviews after visiting a restaurant, but it would actually be rude not to compliment the chef after my experience! ....i had the best meal of my entire life last night at la cascata. I think it was the most expensive thing on the menu but it was worth every penny. Compliments to the chef and kitchen crew! I had jumbo shrimp, lobster, crab, and scallops, with a scampi sauce with grilled asparagus! It came out steaming hot which made it even more enjoyable! I will be telling everyone i know to come try that dish! My husband was very satisfied with his scallops and risotto as well!! Hoping my husband will splurge again for a special occasion to go there! Our server, Deanna was great! She was very kind, friendly and helpful with the menu and service!! Thank...
